“Good place for Syrian food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 March 2012

I went there in August , found the atmosphere very welcoming from the owners
they have a nice program in late summer, with belly dancers and all, but i missed it !
it is not far from the train station and a good neighborhood to walk in if you're staying there till late.
Price range is good for Rome and food taste was delicious, not your standard portions though !
So if you're looking for a nice taste of the home land food and a good shisha smoke, you should go there

“Great evening out.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 February 2011

Researching a trip to Rome, discovered this restaurant on the web and emailed them a reservation request. We arrived around 8pm and enjoyed tea and sheesha (narghile, hubble bubble pipe) reclining comfortably in the lounge. This area feels very authentic and there are many images of Syria and Syrian landmarks on the walls. You should plan to spend some time here, either before as we did, or after your meal.

We then went up a short flight of about 10 steps to the restaurant area, we opted for a selection of dishes that we just shared amongst us. The food was good and the service was cheerful.

And then there was the belly dancing !.
This turned a "meal out" into a "night to remember", it really made the evening something special. Samira, the girl dancing the night we visited, is very skilled and performed a number of different dances between courses. Very entertaining. We left around 01:00am because we using public transport, wish we could have stayed longer.

In summary, I would say for the food alone, the price was a little expensive but when you take into account the quality of the entertainment, it was a fair price for a very memorable night out.

If you are interested in, or just curious about, Middle Eastern cuisine and culture you should definitely visit this place on a Friday or Saturday. I'm sure you'll have a great evening.
