“Fantastic food, service and price”
Reviewed 25 December 2013

First time in Rome, frequent Chinese food eater from Boston. Came here after a few days of pure Italian food to spice it up, was not disappointed. Went with a group of 5, got various kinds of fried rice, soups, and meat dishes, no one had any complaints. The staff was very friendly and the price was very reasonable. The restaurant is in fact located at 29 Via Genova, although some websites have different addresses.

“Great authentic Chinese food”
Reviewed 29 November 2013

This is a very nice Chinese restaurant with beautiful Chinese interior and cozy atmosphere. Everything we ordered was surprisingly good and authentic, at a reasonable price. The servers spoke English, which was helpful and they were all very polite and friendly. This is not one of those bad take-out Chinese places, so if you're sick of Italian pasta and pizza, and want something different this is the place to go! Not the best Chinese food in the world, but still delicious.

“Clean cut traditional chinese”
Reviewed 19 November 2013

A welcomed find from the vast amount of Italian food in rome. Not like a UK menu or style, very traditional clean flavours, but lovely taste. Classy inside with ambient atmosphere. In a nice part of town. Veg fried rice is great, so clean, bamboo and mushroom chicken was also delish.

“Wonderful Chinese in the middle of Rome!”
Reviewed 17 November 2013

After 2 weeks of eating only Italian food during a recent vacation, we needed a break from pizza and pasta cuisine. We discovered Mr. Chow just a few blocks from our hotel and decided to try it out. Mr. Chow provides great authentic Shanghainese food at a very reasonable price. The staff is extrememely attentive and polite. The restaurant is very clean, as other reviewers have noted. If you want food typical of Chinese fast food take-out joints, this is not the place to go. If you want food with a pure, clean taste that is typically eaten in Shanghai (no overpowering spicy sauces, no ton of soy sauce poured over the food), this is THE place to go in Rome!

“Different”
Reviewed 27 July 2013

We were staying on the road parallel to Via Genova and were tired of eating pizzas and pastas. Happened to spy this restaurant. Food was clean and well seasoned and it was a delightful meal. Second time round the restaurant was full and we had to make a reservation for half an hour later but still worth it. Restaurant is well patronised and one has to go early or make a reservation. They start at 7 pm
