“Great Little Place - But Know These Tips”
Reviewed 20 September 2010

Place your order at the cash register, then go to the counter and put a 20-cent coin down on the counter with your receipt as you reiterate your order to the barista. And beware - if you go outside to sit and sip make sure you've paid the correct price. We placed and received our order successfully but then made the mistake of sitting down outside at one of the tables...shortly afterward we were approached by a waiter who said it would be an additional 5 euros to sit! Since we'd finished our drinks we went on our way...otherwise an enjoyable stop on our Rome adventure.

“Filled with Locals and Tourists”
Reviewed 9 September 2010

During our stay in Rome for 5 days, we visited this cafe twice. It was our first time having espresso like a local. The coffee was good and the environment was good too, although a little crowded.

“An Instuition"”
Reviewed 30 July 2010

Had an expresso here.
Drink as the Romans do.
Pay at the cash desk, take your receipt to the bar, place a 20 cent coin on top and get served immediately by the Barista. Drink your coffee standing up!
Great atmosphere. Great coffee!

“Most Memorable Espresso”
Reviewed 29 July 2010

I didn't realise an espresso could taste so good! Nicer than those tried elsewhere including Tazza d'oro. Service wasn't up to the same standard.

“BEST COFFEE EVER!!”
Reviewed 7 July 2010

This was truly the best coffee I've ever had. Their Gran Cafe is a must try (I never ever drink espresso, but this was unbelievably good) and their cappacino so smooth. The baristas are very friendly and look like they genuinely enjoy their job. The black and white pictures testify the history of the place, and the old man grinding the coffee beans out the back show the freshness of their coffee.

I'd really recommend going out your way to try their coffee, you won't be disappointed.
