If you want a Hotel that is located close to the Spanish Steps with loads of restaurants and shops then this is the one for you. The room in the Hotel was a bit on the small side but it was clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and gave us plenty of advice on places to visit and how to get there. Breakfast was continental style consisting of cereal, fruit, croissants, ham, cheese and as much of it as you wanted. If you are booking this hotel do it directly with them as they are charged a lot of commision from other sites. We would have paid 120 Euro less if we had booked the 3 nights directly with them. So its worth checking it out. Would recommend and would stay again.

Nice small hotel in a great location close to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain and also the Corso for great shopping. The room was a bit small but you spend all day walking around so you're only there to sleep. The airconditioner was a bit noisy and breakfast very basic (no toast or fresh coffee!)

We enjoyed 5 nights at this very conveniently located hotel in Rome. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very nice fellow named Radu and he soon became a person we relied on for travel tips and advice on different tours and places to go. The hotel is very clean and run very efficiently considering it is on the third floor of a very old building. At first glance you definitely would not expect the charm this hotel holds. The elevator is very interesting and holds no more than two people with small luggage. A couple trips may be necessary if you have larger pieces of luggage.
Our room was small but had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Breakfast was simple but great coffee and very nice staff. Anna was also very helpful when we had questions. I would stay here again if we were ever to return to Rome.

The staff here was one of the warmest and most inviting!! Immaculately clean, and lovely decor! We stayed in the suite, and the private terrace in itself was so divine! Staff was extremely attentive, and professional, yet at the same time made you feel like you were staying with family! Great location, near every sight to see in Rome! I would recommend to anyone while in Rome, and will definitely plan to stay here again in the future! Grazie to all who made our trip so wonderful!

First impressions were poor, we had to wait while the staff at front counter argued about something before we could book in. We were then locked in the main entrance while they reviewed our passports - a little disconcerting. The room was disappointing, you can't actually sit on the toilet! They've said the bathroom is small but you need to be a child under 5yrs to have a chance. The photo shows a double/queen bed but they are two singles with one sheet and blanket. The linen was dirty and the bed cover was hopefully just old but it seriously needs replacing. The mini bar consists of a fridge and a bottle of water! In what country does that rate as a mini bar? The free WiFi takes 30mins to get in as the connection is poor. Don't be fooled by the photos they are the best aspects of some of the rooms but they aren't what you get. We've travelled from England to France, Germany, Switzerland to here and this is the poorest first impression we've had yet, so much so I'm writing this so no one else finds themselves disappointed like we are. We can't comment on the breakfast as we haven't made it that far yet, but our expectations have been set so low that it has to meet them. But, the location is great! Its close to everything. The location may be great but in walking the streets you see many other opportunities we wished we'd taken. Take the time to look else where, only suitable as a last resort. Happy holidaying! P&S from Sydney.

Agreeing with other reviewers.....the location of the hotel is prime and also a good area of Rome. We stayed for 3 nights. The metro station is very close and hotel is central. A lot of good places to eat nearby and easy to get around. The hotel does have AC and we had no problem with it. The room was quite small as your average hotel in Europe. It's a great place to stay if you want to have a clean and decent place to take a shower, sleep and rest your luggage. They also serve breakfast downstairs which is pretty standard (brioches, chocolate brioches, coffee, cereal, milk, cappuccino, etc). Service is also friendly and someone watching the door 24 hours.

Hotel Centrale in Rome is a small, cozy, clean and nice hotel with a sweet, helpful and service-minded staff. Good location, close to Piazza del Popolo and the Spanish Steps, close to the Metro. We have no doubt the next time we go to Rome, we will stay at hotel Centrale again. Best regards Palle & Tine, Denmark
