We just spent 5 nights here, & loved the location: 5 minute walk to a Metro stop & a block or two off of 2 major thoroughfares for buses, shopping and, of course, the evening passeggiata. Wonderful, small neighborhood restaurants are also abundant. Note, however, that this hotel is 5 minutes from Piazza di Poppolo, and a good 20 minute-plus walk from the Spanish Steps, which is not quite what their website would have you believe. Regardless, the location is great for walking to many sites, and being on a small side street, it is very quiet at night.
A few criticisms: The coffee is pretty awful, which is a crime in Italy! They have a big multi-function self-service machine that uses instant coffee & powdered milk - horrible! And saying that the mattresses are firm would be a monumental understatement -- my husband & I joked about sleeping on a slap of concrete with a rock for a pillow! We asked if they had any softer pillows, and they obligingly added two big, thick pillows -- both hard as rocks, but thicker than the originals! We had no problem sleeping after walking all day every day, but others might not do so well.
