“What a Gem”

Excellent service, friendly staff, lovely food. Great house wines, cold beers at reasonable prices and real Italian meals. So good, we went back again. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

“Lovely food and service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 July 2014

Lovely restaurant and atmosphere. The food was of great quality for a very reasonable price in Rome. The waiters were friendly and prompt with the food and gave us a complimentary small glass of sparkling wine each. We had an antipasti and bruschetta starter and a primi pasta each which was very filling, well presented and very tasty at a good price.

“Marvellous”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 July 2014

Stopped in as we were staying in the area on our first night in Rome. Excellent main course, certainly for the price, and great appetizers and beer/wine as well. The big Peroni bottles were only 4e when most places were double. The server was friendly and prompt and also shooed the vagrants away from the patio area unlike others in the area who let them walk between tables asking for money. The smoked swordfish was wonderful and there was a small charge for the fresh bread but as we doused it with the oils available it was well enjoyed. We tried another nearby restaurant and actually came back to RomaAntica after to finish off as the other one was very disappointing. If we make it back to Rome it's the first place I'm going to cool off and have some great food. The service did vary night to night (always acceptable) but what place doesn't?

Good restaurant, very good service and friendly. The food was love and generous. Our wine recommendation was excellent. Located within strolling distance from our apartment so it was perfect.
