Walked into Babettes on a Saturday for lunch without a booking and we were so lucky they just squeezed us in....it is so popular because it is incredible value for money...28 euros all you can eat including glass of wine and dessert and coffee off the menu...we started with potato and truffle soup, pasta, creamy polenta, roasted chicken and an amazing array of vegetables and salads....the best had to be Babettes torte (secret recipe!). Loved it don't miss Babettes.

Really enjoyed dinner here which wasn't far from our hotel. Waiter was attentive without being overbearing. Food was great, a good wine selection and excellent desserts to finish. Would highly recommend.

We went for the buffet lunch so review not necessarily indicative of the week day a la carte.wine list fine, restaurant decorated to look old/retro & was comfortable & warm. The buffet is 28 euro including desert one drink & coffee. The food is hot & cold. Plenty of salad & veg, beetroot, cabbage pumpkin, boiled egg then a few pasta dishes & roast turkey & meatballs.it's great if u have group & don't want a fuss with prices, or just want an easy lunch after shopping but romantic, special or authentic it really isn't.not a disaster by any stretch just...ok

We can only endorse the recent reviews of this restaurant. Excellent Sunday brunch in typical Roman style. Basic accommodation but bags of atmosphere with food cooked just right - buffet was kept warm and constantly attended by staff who were warm and welcoming and spoke different languages amidst the different nationalities present on a sunny Sunday afternoon in Rome. A little challenging to find but well worth the effort. Pity we didn't go back for dinner one night during our stay. Excellent value for money [Sunday buffet with a glass of wine, coffee and desert all for Euro 28 per person]

What can I say! This was the 3rd time I had visited Babette on Via Margutta in Rome. Every other time I had eaten outside! This visit I entered through the main door and was enveloped in the most amazing atmosphere! I love Rome! I love Viaz Margutta I Love Babette!

I had lunch twice - the buffet is amazing! €14 for water bottled (still or frizzante) bread - soup - plate FULL of the most beautiful food cooked fresh and changing daily !

The staff are WONDERFUL ! Nothing is a problem and they just 'flow'...and the fresh fabulous food just continues to come out of the kitchen!!

The wine is great! The bathroom is gorgeous! The art is fantastic! The ambience - check it out ! You won't be disappointed!!!
