This is an amazingly huge apartment within walking distance of all the major sites of Rome. While it has historical features such as wooden floors, tapestries and beautiful coffered ceilings it also has modern features such as cable TV, fast WIFI, and heating and air conditioning. It also has a beautiful piano and lots of seating and a dining table for 8 which is wonderful for group dinners. It is on a quiet residential street but again less than a block a way from the top of the Spanish Steps with the most beautiful view of Rome you can imagine, plus there is a great jazz bar and grocery store one block over. It also had a full size kitchen with refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher, washing machine and coffee pot-everything you need to be at home.
The location is ideal. It's within walking distance of most everything a visitor would want to see in Rome. And the apartment is quiet, spacious, and very beautiful. My stay there was a real pleasure in every way. Not only that, the management does a totally professional job. Any needs I had were very quickly addressed. I have rented apartments all over the world and would put this one on the highest level.
The location was right in the middle of things within walking distance of the major attractions. We loved the decor and bedroom separation with individual bathrooms. Better air conditioning would have added to the enjoyment or screens on windows.
The hostesses were extremely helpful. I would recommend getting their help on transportation from the airport as we did, otherwise it will be difficult to find. Would recommend this property to all.
The apartment is an excellent solution for people who expect prime location, high standard, extraordinary architecture and style. If you want to "feel" the old Rome- this is a good choice for you and it will make your stay in Rome very special.
2 minutes walk to metro station, 1 minute walk to the Spanish steps. Close to Galeria Borgesee and Borgeese Gardens. Vatican can be reached in 15-20 minutes (including walk from metro to St. Peters).
