“clean, quiet, perfect!”
Reviewed 2 August 2013

The hostel has spacious dorms with no bunk beds. Bathrooms are cleaned every day. It's peaceful and quiet, just what you need after a whole day of sightseeing. If your a cook - the kitchen lacks some supplies (like cutting board and proper knives) but we somehow managed to prepare yummy meals! Location was perfect, very close to the Vatican. I was able to reach all the sights on foot. I loved hanging out in Trastevere area - bars, cafes, live music and good atmosphere. The small cafe/bar in the patio of the hostel building sells good and cheap drinks (I wish I found out about that earlier:)

The location of the hostel was excellent. It was a 10 minute walk from the centre of Trastevere (a place with excellent food and great local 'hangout').
To access other parts of Rome there were great access to buses which transported you to almost anywhere you could think of.

The staff speak excellent English and are very friendly and willing to help you with the use of public transport and recommendations for sightseeing and places to eat.

It's a perfect place to crash after a long day of sightseeing. An added bonus was retuning at the end of each day to your bed being made and your room tidied.

There is a kitchen to cook ones own food and a fridge and all utensils one would need.
The only caution would be the breakfast. It was very simple and would recommend buying some food to sustain you for the day. Breakfast was served from 8-10.
There was also a cafe downstairs which was filled every night and was recommended in guide books as a great place to eat.

In regards to the price it was worth the money. There was an addition to the price of the city tax which was €8 when I visited in August 2013.

Overall the atmosphere was very secure as there was someone at the desk 24/7 and those tough Italian women would not let anyone past they did not know.

I would stay there again.

The staff here is extremely useful and I loved being in Trastevere. It's a much more authentic neighborhood in Rme but is still close to everything and very fun. The hostel is very clean, but not a party hostel, which is what I prefer. There is a nice kitchen and pots and pants, etc., and people make dinner every night so there's always someone around to talk to. Breakfast is as good as you can expect for a free breakfast. Lots of clean bathrooms and showers. There are no bunks, so everyone gets their own bed (though it's a narrow European bed), plenty of room, and an almost closet-sized locker. I would definitely return here. The only downside is that you can only stay here if your whole group is women, that said, nothing about this place hits you over the head with a "women only" message. There just happen to be no guys around.

Pros- clean, easy to get to with their directions, quiet location, comfortable in the dorm room- had plenty of space (unlike other hostels that sometimes cram bunk beds in a small room), helpful staff
Cons- not close to many tourist sights, only the Vatican nearby, somewhat difficult to get to other things, spotty internet service

Overall, my stay in this hostel was better than many others that I've been in. I felt safe, comfortable, and welcomed.

Room Tip: Rooms with a window to the courtyard are more noisy at night, since there are often small concerts o...

The hostel feels more like a real hostel than a hotel, its all women and the staff are helpful and concern about the security. The location is perfect, you can walk to every other location. The nearest bus stop is around 600 m away and the roads are not smooth, so if you have luggage its going to be a bit hectic. The kitchen is good, you will get utensils to use, it has a electric oven and microwave, free olive oil to cook, a fridge to store your food. The breakfast is poor! only cornflakes, milk and bread-butter. no fruits or eggs. The environment is very cozy. Free wifi. You will find women of different age group stopping over. Except food, everything is perfect! The rooms are spacious, bed and pillows are good. You get a blanket and complementary towel. The rooms are cleaned and the beds are done every morning. If I am visiting Rome again, I will stay here!

Room Tip: 204! quite and nice

Location is very good and it's mostly peaceful if you can sleep thru noisy seagulls at 4am! Showers and toilets very basic and in need of upgrading. Shower cubicles broken causing flooding and no mops provided. Light not working in bathroom. Really hated having plastic bowls, plates, knives, forks and spoons to eat breakfast....why? Stayed 3 nights and saw at least 6 different receptionists.... not sure who had overall responsibility. Had to leave for airport at 4am but was not possible to take anything for breakfast. Feel 36 Euros for bed and breakfast with shared bathroom is very expensive for facilities and breakfast offered.

Room Tip: All rooms are on same level off a long corridor........can be a bit of a trek to bathroom at night.

Good worms hostel -felt safe and comfortable. bedroom basic - needs coat of paint and shared bathrooms slightly dirty. Location is good- easy walk to Vatican and centre. The neighbourhood had excellent restaurants, bars etc. Breakfast was ok. Hostel staff need to help out more by providing information on what is around and what is available for example selling bus tickets.
