“prefer this to neapolitan pizza”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 July 2014

there's so many flavors/toppings to choose from. each slice is loaded with stuff. they cut a piece for you and they reheat it, making the bottom crunchy. they further slice it into 2-4 pieces. ate it one slice at a time but on our second visit, saw some locals flipping one slice over on top of another and eating it like a sandwich. makes sense as you'll eat it faster and while it's hot.
i like my pizzas crunchy so i would choose this over a neapolitan pizza (which i also like) every time.

“Excellent takeaway Pizza near Vatican”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2014

This was one of the best pizzas we had for lunch after visiting the Vatican. The toppings were generous and quite unique.

“Like being in New York with the Soup Nazi. Tasty!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 June 2014

Be sure to map this place well. It is hard to find. Good for eating after a visit to Vatican City. 10 or so types of pizza ready for you to choose by the slice. Nowhere to sit, so you eat standing around with the other pizza lovers.

“Very Creative Pizzas”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2014

The pizza here is wonderful and there are many many different options to choose from at fairly reasonable prices. Make sure you go out of your comfort zone and try several different types. The staff here are incredibly friendly and are very polite if you can't speak Italian (they speak English superbly). Bottom line is that it is a fantastic pizza place with good prices and in close proximity to the Vatican if you're in the area. It's standing room only inside, so you'll have to use the bench outside or find another place to sit nearby, there's a church nearby and you can sit on the steps. I believe they're open from about 2 pm -10 pm

“Delicious find!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2014

Delicious pizza with lots of choices. The toppings are inventive and plentiful - they really don't skimp at all. I loved seeing all the different varieties of pizzas and getting to try a little bit of each one - essentially the perfect place for a foodie who wants to try a little bit everything. My favorite one was the red pepper and mozzarella one - perfect amount of pepper sweetness balanced by the mild soft taste of the mozzarella. My mother really enjoyed one with celery and pork fat. We also had: just red pepper (not as good as the one with mozzarella), ham and pureed chickpeas, prosciutto and spinach, artichoke flowers, and eggplant. So much variety!

Do note that the place is small and there is essentially no place to eat. Luckily we went on a super rainy day so there was nobody there, so there was space at the standing counter for us to eat, but I can imagine that on a normal day at lunch time, this area would get super crowded. Also, by the time we went in the afternoon (around 4-ish), it felt like the selection had largely diminished, so I suggest going earlier for more choices. I wish I could go back to try more flavors!
