You have seen it in pictures, but it is even more magnificent in person. Alone worth the trip to St. Peters. Lovely and deeply moving.

If you can get past the crowd to get up close to see this masterpiece by Michelangelo you will not be disappointed.

“Behind glass and from far away”

But less crowded than the rest of Vatican City. Don't go to visit the Vatican City on a Monday it was the worst experience we have had in 5 weeks of italy

What can I say ??! Words are useless . I just can say that I was lucky to visit Citta Del Vaticano more than once..but everytime I come back I feel like I can stay for hours to admire this masterpiece..

“The detail of it is supurb”

Even behind glass (which sadly happened in 1974 when a person took a hammer to the piece)it is moving and breathtaking. It is hard to fathom the creation of it. Take the time to see it and just to stand still and appreciate it while you are there.
