“Worth Every Euro”
Reviewed 8 August 2014

We would like to thank Grant for his knowledge and enthusiasm for the tour of the Vatican Museums.

We had intended just to go for a looksy at St Peters and a bit of a wander. But we were approached and asked if we would like to do the tour of the Vatican museums inc. the Sistine Chapel. When we heard the price we had to carefully consider it, but as we were in Rome and would probably not be back again we thought why not - once in a lifetime and all that.

Our group walked straight to the front of the very long queue and for the next few hours listened intently as Grant took us round the museum and explained in great detail about the various exhibits. Now my concentration levels aren't what they used to be, and a museum wouldn't be my first choice for a day out - but my husband and I were totally riveted, especially with Grant's commentary about Michelangelo and the background to how his masterpiece of the Sistene Chapel happened. The whole tour flew by and was greatly enjoyed.

It was well worth every penny, and was one of the highlights of our trip.

Hello DonnaR1970, thank you for your great review! We are so glad that your surpass your expectations and make your tour of the Vatican an experience to remember. We completely agree that visiting the Vatican is a once in a life time experience and having a wonderful cicerone like Grant can really turn a dull day at the Museums into an adventure, where centuries of history come to life. “Fantastic Experience ”
Reviewed 8 August 2014 via mobile

It was a great experience to visit the Vatican on our Anniversary and to be guided by What a Life Tour. We were congratulated by an amazing special gift. The tour through the Vatican was unforgettable with the very qualified guide James Grant. He astonished us with the amount of historic information he has in addition to his sense of humor. We recommend this company for anyone who would like to have an unforgettable experience in the Vatican.
Highly recommend & advised!

“Incredible experience!”
Reviewed 8 August 2014 via mobile

We didn't plan on taking a tour of the Vatican but when we came across the huge queues we bumped into one of the promotors that persuaded us to join the tour, and it was the best decision we made! So much better than having to wait in the two hour queues.

Our tour guide was Marcelo and I can't even begin to explain how amazing he was from the minute we started the tour. His knowledge of the Vatican and it's history was so incredibly In-depth, he kept us entertained and interested throughout the whole experience! He was particularly attentive to one woman and her baby, and constantly making the tour easy on her, which we thought was brilliant.

We both went away with a vast amount of new knowledge and couldn't imagine doing the same without the tour. It was easily one of our best experiences of Rome, thank you for making it such a memorable day!

Hey paddy5658, thank you for your review! It is no surprise that a Top Contributor like yourself is able to sum up the most important reasons to take a tour in such a great and concise way. Having an expert by your side to make sense of the overwhelming Museums is of course the main perk of joining our tour but skipping the line is certainly the cherry on the cake!
