“Spacious, clean apartment within walking distance of St Peter's Sqaure”
Reviewed 24 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We booked this apartment via Booking.com but realised we could have also booked it via TripAdvisor. We received communication promptly from Edoardo and paid a deposit. The remainder was paid once we arrived at the apartment. Edoardo offered to book the taxi which we accepted. We gave our flight details and was advised that the cost for the four of us for the collection was 50 euros. (it was the same on the way back). The taxi arrived on time and told us of some of the sights as we passed through.
As we arrived at the apartment Edoardo arrived at the same time. He led us to the apartment and gave us a briefing of the facilities. It was ideal, spacious and very clean. There was everything that you could need including a safe to secure passports money etc.
You really could relax after visiting the sights for the day.
We walked each day to St Peter's Square and sometimes on further to the area of the Colosseum. We chose to get the Metro back from there as the legs by then after walking all day were tired. There is a bakery nearby, coffee shop and Goose which is a great restaurant/pizzeria.
Positives:
*Clean
*Spacious
* Great communication with owners
* air conditioned or radiator heating if required
*Dishwasher/washing machine
* shops and restaurants nearby
*Walking distance from the sights
*Metro within walking distance and Train (you could hear the train passing by)
*Good value for money
* TVs in both bedrooms (although we could not get an English channel, not a great problem as we were out most of the day, but would have been good if we could have had at least one English channel)
* WIFI reception was great no problems
* The apartment felt secure
Negatives if any:
* There was music being played fairly loudly first thing in the morning and sometimes at night from another apartment in the block (mainly heard in the second bedroom)
*The train could be heard going by even with windows and shutters closed
With that said we would return as it was such a comfortable roomy apartment that was clean. It was a good experience.

“Close to the Vatican”
Reviewed 23 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We are a family of four and stayed 4 nights at this apartment. First of all, the friendliness of Francesca and helpfulness of her and her family is wonderful. From securing our car at a local garage to explaining the apartment features, nothing was a problem. The apartment is in a great location literally 5 min walk from the Vatican with several good restaurants around the corner and a mini supermarket. The apartment has 2 good sized bedrooms, decent bathroom with washing machine and kitchenette with dining table. Only thing lacking is a separate lounge room, however the master bedroom has a sofa with plenty of room. The apartment does feature a balcony, unfortunately, there was renovation work being done on the apartment above and it wasn't safe for us to use the balcony during our stay. Francesca insisted on compensating us for this even though it wasn't their fault work was being done.
I totally recommend this apartment for its fabulous location, good size and ease of communication with Francesca and Edoardo. Thanks for a memorable stay in Rome!

“Great family space, nice neighbourhood and close to attractions”

Our stay at St. Peter's Bells Guest House was an excellent finish to our trip across Italy. My wife and I were backpacking with our two teenagers and the apartment offered plenty of room (by Italian standards!) for children and parents to have their own space. The shower was roomy, the washing machine worked, the apartment was clean, the kitchen and nook offered great family space and the air conditioning was a treat! Although we had some difficulty reaching the apartment from the central train station in Rome, it became a unintentional adventure! Edoardo and his mother made sure we found the apartment! Plenty of directions were provided, in a binder, to local restaurants, grocery stores and main attractions. Thank-you Edoardo and mom!!

“Good location in a residential neighbourhood”

We stayed at the Saint Peter’s Bells apartment for two nights this week as a stopover. The apartment is about 10 minutes walk from Saint Peter’s Square. The apartment is located on the upper ground floor of a purpose built block in a residential area. There are some restaurants, a nice bakery and a supermarket close by. San Pietro train station is across the road which connects to the metro system.

The apartment was booked through TA and the owner, Eduardo responded quickly to all messages. He also organized transfers from Rome Termini on our arrival and to Rome Fucimino on our departure. We were met at the apartment by Francesca on arrival.

The apartment has two bedrooms a kitchen, bathroom and small dining room. There are laundry facilities and a dishwasher. The apartment was clean and quiet, and there are external blinds on all the windows. We did not spend a lot of time in the apartment but it was comfortable and well located. We would recommend it to others.

“Perfect place to stay in Rome”

First of all I would like everyone to know that this is not right in the tourist area of Rome but close by in a convenient neighborhood right next to the Vatican walls. If you like mingling with the locals, experiencing the local life and seeing all Rome has to offer this is the place to stay.
Francesca and Eduardo Saint Peter's Bells is a spacious clean comfortable apartment. They made many arrangements for us including transfers to and from airport (reasonably priced), a night tour by Francesca to some the out of way places including a gelato stop. Traveling in Rome can be difficult, but apartment is located close to numerous bus stops, metro station, and St Peters train station, you are a short walk or ride to most attractions. We had a wonderful time while in Rome, and will definitely stay at St Peters Bells again.

“Excellent flat with everything a family of four could need”

Don't trawl the internet a moment longer; book this apartment!

We were a family of four looking for a central base close to the Vatican and this was perfect.
The apartmenet was on the first floor of a large block (very quiet) only a 5-10 minute walk to the Vatican.
The number 46/64 bus goes from the end of the road directly to all the main attractions. There are a number of coffee bars (Mox was good), restaurant s(Goose) and supermarkets close by if you do not want to cook.
The spacious 2 bedroom accommodation was very comfortable with crisply ironed bed linen.
Fully equipped and spotlessly clean kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, oven, fridge.
The apartment also had a washing machine which is bonus when travelling with children as I was.
The balcony doesn't get the direct sun light but who cares, we weren't there to sit on the balcony.
The host, Francesca, was an absolute sweetie and met us on arrival and even offered to take us to the train station on our last day so that we didn't struggle with our luggage during a bus strike. In additon she also gave us a guided tour en-route; most kind.
On arrival we were given a box of snacks for the morning and water which was welcome.
In addition there were umberellas and a Italian/English dictionary ifor us to borrow too.
If we come back to Rome then we will book this flat again.
