“Safe, pleasant”
Reviewed 7 June 2012

We made our trains, but there was confusion in our mind about more than one track with seemingly the same number, except "west". That is, there are a couple of tracks off to the side which are "binario 1 ovest", etc, and there is also binario 1, 2 etc. The departure board makes the distinction, but we were confused. Also, the "ordinary" train tickets (regionale) are not valid on the Intercity trains. Don't forget to validate/timestamp your ticket before boarding. Good clean trains.

“Dirty and bad services”
Reviewed 2 June 2012

One of the worst railway statio I have been in Italy. Always dirty wiith bar staff never ever welcoming, not to mention their historical sandwiches, I mean historical as it's impossible to understand where they had been done.

“Good hub”
Reviewed 22 March 2012

Everything leaves from there, not just trains - long-dstance buses (e.g. to Naples), local buses, town buses, taxis, the shuttle to the port. There's an ATM outside, and a private carpark place just opposite (not cheap, but you csn leave your car and pick it up again at any time, 24 hours a day), and an Indian restaurant in the corner over the road, and if you have to wait for a bus there's the station cafeteria (stays open till 11 at night, I think, then it opens again at 5 in the morning).

Moving staircases not to be relied on, and there's a bit of a trek from where the main north-south line trains arrive to the platform for trains heading west to Rome, Jesi etc, but if you need help just ask someone.

“The typical itlian station”
Reviewed 6 February 2012

Pros:
+ one bar with decent panini and a pizzeria with decent pizza
+ there is both the elevator and the escalator
+ well connected with bus

Cons:
- few (sometimes one) ticket offices open
- few selfservice working (and the same for the yellow validaton machine)
- restrooms just ok

“Functional but not great fun”
Reviewed 23 December 2011

If you have time there are a couple of Asian supermarkets in the area for some essential spices that are not easily found in Le Marche
