I have a liking for art hotels, but my experience is that the art causes the housekeeping to suffer. Well this is certainly not the case at the Hotel Alexander Museum Palace. Neither is there a shortage of art both in quantity and quality. It is in the rooms, in the corridors and in the public rooms.

One gripe – the “full breakfast” description is overstated. Unless you like sweet pastries then the cold buffet breakfast was at the poor end of hotel breakfasts.

We stayed in this hotel or 2 nights, i always dream to be in this hotel and to see what it is in real. Realy hotel is very special. We were afraid to recieve room - the prison, but lady from the reception was so kind and she gave us with flowers and with the fantastic view on the see, we were so much happy. The room is not very big but for not long time is ok. Very clean. Breakfest is normal, but there were fantastic ananas, so deliciuos...i was eating all of them.

Arty, new and nice. Minus for the ba sound in our room(in the shaft) and a bit minus for close to the railway. Nice to have the possibilities to borrow bikes and nice pool area

We have stayed here two years in succession and hopefully will continue to come annually. The staff are helpful. The food is very good and the location reasonably quiet compared to other spots on the lungomare. Is it a hotel within an art gallery or an art gallery within a hotel? There is always something to catch the eye. If you are travelling with young children, the place may be a little too sophisticated for them, but when they are older it will still be there with it's attractions.

You are actually staying in a gallery, surrounded by the art as a natural part of this space.
Each room designed by different artist - you do not know, what you get...:)
We had a dark blue (sea) room decorated with single huge octopus - sounds strange, but was interesting...
Large balcony with sea view, all rooms spotless clean, refreshing pool (interesting incorporated to the building and terrace),
delicious dinner, lush and really rich breakfast.
Next time traveling through this part of Italy we will stay here again!
Recommendation: book a hotel garage (despite of extra costs)!! It is very hard to find a parking place outside.

We have just checked out from the Alexander Musuem & Palace & feel i would like to have my say. Our check in was excellent as was our check out the staff at reception went over board to help with all our enquire's & never once were impatient. Also the staff in the dining room were a delight we had lots of jokes with them & they had our table ready each night "we stayed 6 x nights" As for the gripes about the internet we had no problem at all & it was totally FREE..Our only gripe was we thought our room "210" was absolutely hidious the artwork gave us night mares also the walls were so thin that the man in "212" kept us a wake all night with his snoring. We also found too much "junk" arty stuff in the room which made it crampt We did not find a lot of restaraunts in the area for dinner so we chose to take half board at the hotel which was not a bad choice

Room Tip: Make sure it is ocean facing with a balcony on about the 5th floor would be ok
