We visited the museum on 26 May 2010.
On the positive side, the museum is easy to find off the main Piazza Maggiore and has free entry. On the down side, the art on show will be of more interest to the art enthusiast than the casual tourist. Most of the paintings are of landscapes and still life particularly bottles that all look very similar to untrained eye.
To reach the museum, you will climb up an interesting staircase, probably designed for horses to climb. There is also a lift to the museum.
