“Local food”
Reviewed 11 July 2014 via mobile

Original bolognese food.they have only a few dished on the menu but they make them good.we had a spaghetti and soup dinner at 10 o'clock p.m.very good serving and acceptable food.I say it again, not spectacular but, as we were told, a restaurant for local clients.

“Average food, average prices, terrible service”
Reviewed 13 June 2014

I just had dinner at Trattoria Tony and I have to say that it was the worst experience I ever had in Italy. Average food with average prices but with a terrible atmosphere and conditions (no air conditioned) and above all I had the worst expetiences ever with a waiter, no education at all!! Besides all of this, you still have to pay 2.9 eur per person of service for awfull service and conditions! ! Make yourself a favor and stay away from Trattoria Tony if you have self esteem!! Best regars

“Good food in a good atmosphere equals a good evening.”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

Just off the main street of Via Indipendenza it is a smallish and unassuming family run restaurant in an area where it has to compete with many other more tourist-orientated restaurants. However, it appears to do this very successfully as it is always crowded. It has tables outside as well as in and taking its popularity as a good sign arrived without having booked. The proprietor asked us to wait for 5 minutes, and sure enough after 5 minutes an inside table was vacated and promptly laid for us.

Inside is traditional trattoria style, and despite its situation in a tourist area most of the diners seemed to be Italian. The food and service was good, reasonably priced and the house wine cheap at 4 euro for half a litre. Overall it was probably the best dinner we had in five nights in Bologna. Also, it was one of the few where we didn’t have an issue with the bill!

It’s worth noting that it is closed on Sunday and public holidays.

“Old good Bologna”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

I love the home made pasta, the boiled meat with the bolognese sauce, they remind me of good old days, and in whole Bologna this IS the real stuff! I met personally Tony years ago, his family still there to have traditional bolognese cousine frozen in a time-bubble!

“Authentic cucina bolognese”
Reviewed 18 May 2014

Home made pasta, bollito con salsa verde, prosecco scaraffato... Nice place at the edge of the University area, excellent food, friendly staff, reasonable prices. At one point a group of midlle east customers sat down and asked for fish and for pizza, they were told this is a placof bolognese cuisine, and fish and pizza are not part of it. They subsequently stood up and disappeared into a loud tourist pizza place...
