“Truly Majestic Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 November 2013

A group of friends from the American Women's Association of Rome (AWAR) recently stayed at the Grand Hotel Majestic Gia Baglioni and had a wonderful experience! This is a classy hotel, deserving of its five stars, as it has all the elegance, beauty and staff attention such a hotel is expected to have. We enjoyed a spacious room with a balcony overlooking the interior courtyard and fully enjoyed the SPA facilities and breakfast amenities all provided free of charge.
We certainly plan to be back and stay for a longer period of time and further enjoy this gem of a hotel.

This hotel is actually very beautiful. The room was very comfortable and even the pillows were terrific! It is very well located and within walking distance to the train station. The breakfast offered may options, including gluten free items. The staff was always helpful and the door man Marc was always pleasant and helpful.

We only spent 2 nights at this hotel but it was beyond my expectations. The hotel is in a fantastic location right in the main street, close to the main catherdal and whithin walking distance of all the sights. You will need to catch a taxi from Bologna Centrale but it is a short and inexpensive ride. The staff were awesome, so helpful and very friendly and the room was beafutiful and luxurious. I would highly recommend staying here with the Due Torri Hotel Chain.

Right in the heart of the old Bologna city center. All historical sites are minutes away by foot. Besides, it's on the independence street which is the shopping center of Bologna. Rooms are majestic. Very kind and helpful staff at the front desk.

Room Tip: Very convenient if for a short visit to Bologna

Short weekend break, arrived Friday about 10pm and departed Sunday 6pm so we wanted somewhere central & comfortable. The hotel has an unimposing entrance but staff are warm & welcoming and eager to be of assistance. We were shown to our room which was very large, comfortable and well decorated with most of the facilities you'd expect, however in room tea/coffee facilities would have been nice to have.

Each morning we were treated to a super breakfast selection which we havent experienced elsewhere in Italy. Lots of cold meats, cheeses, yougurts etc. along with a hot selection to tempt you. If that wasnt enough then theres cakes, pasteries and more!

Only one piece of advice as far as breakfast is concerned - 'resistance is futile'.....

The elegant lobby and welcoming reception staff pleased us immediately. Our room is lovely, with terrific amenities and even a balcony/terrace facing St. Peter's church across the street. The location is convenient and lots of excellent dining options nearby. Terrific breakfast included with the room.......great start to the day.

Bologna was a one night stop on my recent trip to Italy....what a great surprise. The city is beautiful, very chic northern Italia style, famous brands shops incrusted in old constructions. Very young and energetic city at the same time due to lots of university students all over the place. The Hotel was fantastic. Top service, a few meters from the main piazza, the decoration was absurd. Crystal chandeliers dated from the 17 th century all over the place, wood and marble in furniture and walls. Front desk, fantastic, fast , cordial and a concierge excellent with tips for antique shops that we were looking for. Only point is that the windows for front rooms should have a better noise reduction. Must stay in this Hotel and must go to Bologna, we will be back.

Room Tip: Front rooms might have some noise from the street
