Renovations appear complete, and the hotel is in excellent physical shape; my 75 Euro room was spacious and modern, overlooked a park, and included an excellent breakfast buffet, and while wifi in your room will cost you 10 euros for 12 hours, wifi in the lobby is free.
The one thing to watch out for is the shuttle schedule -- it is a schedule, not a call for service, and when it is scheduled for the RR station it is not running between the hotel and the airport -- one gap is 7:45 am to 9:30 am (when there ARE trips too and from the RR Station). As the crow flies, the terminal is only about 1/2 kilometer away; but there is no path, and walking on the roadway without a sidewalk would be about a mile, not recommended. Because there is a minimum taxi fare from the airport, you would save money by taking a taxi from the RR station to the hotel, when the shuttle is not available, rather than taking the airport bus to the terminal and a taxi from there.
It might even be as convenient for getting to the airport to stay in town at one of the two large hotels facing the RR Station, then taking the 6 Euro bus that runs every 15 minutes from the RR Station to the airport. It is basically express service, half an hour or less.More
