Overall very poor. At night, the roads at the side of the hotel are very noisy. The rooms are depressing because most of them are badly maintained. My room had a hole in the wall for telephone cables and the carpet was worn out. Bathrooms are extremely small with very little room to move. Another point: You must get a price quotation in writing as they have the habit of demanding a lot more in payment when you check out if you do not have a written quote. This is common during trade fairs when they say they are allowed to add a substantial surcharge. Definitely a hotel to be avoided!

A good size room with basic good furniture, no fridge. The hotels feels like one that caters for business clients. Good WiFi service in the room. A short walk to the main square in the historic part of this elegant city. Conad supermarket is a short walk and a convenient shop is right next door. Quality and budget eating places nearby. Buses from the central station gets you there. You get off at the junction of irnerio and Alssandrini the hotel is a short walk. In fact we walked to the station on our way to the airport. The sidewalks all tiled and are under the arches it is like walking indoors! The helpful receptionist told us to walk to the bus stop on via Independenza (about 7 minutes)to catch the airport bus however the bus did not stop there, we then walked on to the station (5mins).
Breakfast buffet is fantastic, however the water in the urn was never hot enough for a cup of tea. Cups are too small for tea. If you do not ask for a decent cup of coffee, you do not get it. The breakfast staff aim to please with very little English but they are excellent at communication. There was an open air free of charge festival of old films every night at ten at the piazza maggiore a short walk from the hotel.

This hotel is a good place to stay as it is near the historic centre of the town. The rooms are average. It is an old building with old furniture. You don't expect much. It is a five minute from the centre. The breakfast was good though. The receptionists were very helpful and gave us the information we needed. For some reason I did not have internet in the room but you could use the computer at the reception area. At night there is some noise outside because of a bar which is very close to the hotel but it was ok. There is also a super market at the side of the hotel which was very handy. I would recommend this hotel because of its location.

Room Tip: it is a good choice because of the location.

...but overall poor. The room it's most depressive thing, very basic and couldn't offer comfort. Immediately need to be out. Bathroom is small especially with a very tiny sink. Hotel has great position on the center of the town and by walk can be reached all the frequently and most attractions of Bologna. At the night roads at the side of the hotel are very noisy, but the windows are relatively well isolated and the disturbance it's in a way manageable. Because the position and the stuff this hotel can bee used for short trips and businesses in town. The stuff is really helpful and tries to do the best but couldn't cover things which are not in their hands. One more positive thing is the internet access and a portable laptop at so call lobby of the hotel which they offer on free access.

Room Tip: Nothing will be helpful. Use just for one night...max two!!

We booked this hotel for 1 night at the very last minute as there wasn't much choice left in the city. Even 2 star hotels in Bologna are expensive probably because there aren't enough hotels for the demand. We used an underground car park which was a 2 minute straight forward walk to the hotel. It is a basic no frills hotel. The decor is dated and it has no particular style. We did have a comfortable bed and our room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. No air conditioning. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. We chose only to have coffee at breakfast but took advantage of the wifi. We wouldn't have wanted to stay more than 1 night here. It was, however, adequate. The main advantage was the good location.
