“Fantastic cozy rooms”
Reviewed 29 July 2013

THe hotel is located in the city center in Bologna, a couple of minutes walking from the main attractions. The hotel is in a quite small square allowing rooms to be quite.
The staff has been nice and friendly in giving suggestions on good restaurants.
Breakfast is fine and boasts international food.
Rooms are big and with fantastic wooden celeing and a huge bathroom.

Room Tip: High floor rooms

This hotel is a gem, a very short walk from the main central square in Bologna. It's a small hotel in the center of town, situated at the end of a quiet almost sleepy square.

The room was compact, but quite comfortable, but as with many European city hotels, a "king bed" is in reality two "twin beds" butted against each other, which isn't the most comfortable. The bathroom was well appointed, especially the large enclosed twin-shower, which is very nice.

Breakfast is basic but ample and well stocked.

Not really anything to complain about - if you're going to stay here, I think you will like it!

We found this hotel from trip advisor and spent a long weekend with my girl friends in this fabulous city. The front desk was very friendly. A typical ladies' group we changed first the arrival dates then the number of rooms reserved then this then that, they always stayed helpful and found a solution for our never ending updates. They recommended a marvelous local restaurant, it was really the best I have ever been in Italy. We stayed in the upper floor, in the suit having a view to the little plaza in from of the hotel. Bathroom was very big, clean. Windows high, room bright. They don't have carpet in the room, this is for me anyhow the biggest advantage. Breakfast was very good, small , cozy but had every thing with fresh pastries and croissants. Location top, a few minutes walk from shopping and everything. Whenever tired, to take a quick shower or bring the shopping bags, better cannot be thought.
I really recommend this hotel and find it price worthy when you generally think the quality in Italy. Especially recommended for a romantic weekend.

Very central, next to the main square, yet nicely ticked away. Very easy access to the train station - 2-3 minutes by cab or 15 minutes stroll pretty much on a single street, rolling the bag down a tile - smooth surface.

The front desk service is competent, attentive, kind and very helpful. Very pleasant breakfast in an art reading-room setting. Original paintings are a very nice touch,

We stayed here as a family to go to a wedding. The hotel is located a 2 min walk away from the main shopping district and the main square. The hotel is surrounded by great restaurants for good prices. The hotel is very clean and well decorated. The rooms are also very clean and well decorated but some are a little tight for space like the room with 2 single beds but the singe bedrooms had quite a lot of space. The hotel staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very good with a large selection of cold meats and bread and juices. We had a really good stay here.

First the good:
The front desk staff could not have been more polite or helpful. They were all quite charming.
The location of this hotel is superb - literally three minutes stroll from the hub of Bologna, the Piazza Maggiore.
Breakfast, too, was excellent. Ample fruit, meats, cheeses, coffees, cakes and all the trimmings.
Now the bad:
The bed in our de-luxe room was rock hard. I hardly slept for the three nights we stayed at the hotel.
The room's lighting system needed a qualified electrical engineer to operate it. I found it impossible to turn on the bedside light and had to grope around the walls to reach the bathroom during the night. When there, the only was of putting on the bathroom light was to illuminate the whole room - bathroom light, bedside lights, main lights, the lot. My wife was not best pleased.
For a de-luxe room, it was a disappointment. Quite cramped, with the only concession to space being a concrete balcony with a view of some treetops.
The coup de grace, however, was the price. Almost £600 for three nights.
I won't be back.

Excellent location, very good standards of decor in public and private areas.
Clean and comfortable room, modern and spacious bathroom, bed and pillows new and clean.
Breakfast room small but cosy and the variety offered was reasonable, fresh and of good quality.
You have everything you need for a pleasant stay in Bologna.
If we go back we would definitely stay here again.
