Stayed at the Hotel del Borges 4.25.14 to 4.27.14. The hotel staff were very instrumental in getting my party anything we needed, giving us directions and recommendations for restaurants and calling us a taxi. Rooms were very clean and updated and central to major sights in Rome. Would stay there again without question.

Note: This is written from an American perspective.

# of nights stayed: 1
Decor: Great lobby with plush couches, hallways were dark, we had to turn on the lights ourselves, nice & comparable to a Quality Inn
Bathroom: Big bathroom, small shower(hand held w/ attachment), great water pressure, good shampoo
Bed: Decent 3 out of 5
Wifi: Free!!!
Breakfast: Not included. 6€per person if you wanted it. We opted out.
Perks: Staff was friendly; walked us over to private parking lot, brought us ice.
Worth it? Yessssss!!! Absolutely fab deal
Recommended? Yes

We stayed one night on our way through Bologna. Great location for a tour of Ducati. Missed the tour at Ducati as we did not reserve ahead for the English tour. The room was great for a family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 kids 9 and 13. Parking there was a little tight for our 9-passenger rental van but it worked. Nice to have a decent restaurant right next door and the front desk kidly called ahead for us for dinner. Breakfast was typical, our waitress/barista was friendly and attentive even though our Italian is rudimentary and she spoke almost no English. The staff was helpful, suggesting an easy public bus to downtown. We elected not to go downtown Bologna but instead continued on to Maranella.

This family-run 3 star lodging is just fine, especially if you're visiting Ducati. Some of the factory sponsored riders stay here when visiting Ducati's HQ so you might sleep in the same bed as Casey Stoner or Loris Capirossi. Matteo and his mother will take excellent care of you. Parking lot in back makes things easy. Stay here and take a cab into Bologna for dinner, you can walk to the entrance to Ducati in 5 minutes. The only negative thing is the extra charge for breakfast which means we didn't sample it....we just refuse to pay extra for breakfast on principle though since there's not a lot around the neighborhood, it's probably not a bad idea.

The hotel is in a decent enough location and very clean. There are also some nice touches like slippers and even a pair of toothbrushes in the rooms. Staff is quite nice and they tried their best although occasionally they were a bit slow to react.

However, the breakfast was a bit weak, the beds were only so so and the wifi service was plain bad, especially in the rooms. In our rooms we could hardly connect 2-3 times and even in the lobby the connection kept interrupting and the idle logout period was unreasonably short. Unfortunately it wasn't a great value hotel either, overall I can say that it was a poor to average experience and I believe one can do much better in Bologna.

Not too bad for an overnight stay. The manager, Mateo was very helpful! Not a very busy place but very clean and well kept. Not too many places to eat but right next door is an average italian restaurant.

I stayed here for a weekend in Bologna. It is a good hotel for a business stay. The room was small but the bed was comfortable. Across the street is a shopping mall. Not to far away is the Ducati Engine Plant/Factory. If you want to see the main plaza of Bolonga then it is a short cab ride away. I would not stay here for a vacation or holiday. But for business travel this place works out as reasonable. The hotel breakfast was good but the cafe down the street is better. It was nice to turn the air conditioning off and open the window to sleep with some fresh air but you can do that sort of thing in Italy in July... You can't enjoy the evening air so much in Kansas or Atlanta.
