We found this very reasonably-priced trattoria when staying in Bologna for the week last September (4 friends of a certain age!). It's a plain, straightforward place for eating, complete with the classic red-checked table-cloths. The menu isn't vast but it rarely is where freshly-cooked food is concerned. It offers excellent service, no horrible muzak and wine by the carafe rather than the bottle, if you prefer. We went twice and it was just as good the second time.

Need to come back one more time in order to offer a 5 star rating however it certainly has the potential. Food, simple but good, great service and very friendly staff. Decor is great but for me I would prefer some nice music instead of the radio. I would come back without a problem.

We chose this restaurant without having previously read any judgment, but simply because, along Via Farini, her appearance attracted us.
Via Farini is a picturesque arcaded street, just south of the most known part of Bologna center.
The choice proved to be happy. The friendliness of the service (something I always love to experiment), but above all the food and cuisine quality, make this property a place to recommend. Being two people, we ordered two pasta dishes, a main course (shared among us), two desserts, water, house wine and coffee, at a cost of 61 Euros. A fair price in relation to what we have received, and in relation to Bologna (a notoriously expensive city, at least in the center).

Booked this in advance as had been a few years before. Good thing we did as people were being turned away all evening on a Wednesday. Great local food. Especially enjoyed the tortellini in broth. Friendly waiter and good service.
