We found this very reasonably-priced trattoria when staying in Bologna for the week last September (4 friends of a certain age!). It's a plain, straightforward place for eating, complete with the classic red-checked table-cloths. The menu isn't vast but it rarely is where freshly-cooked food is concerned. It offers excellent service, no horrible muzak and wine by the carafe rather than the bottle, if you prefer. We went twice and it was just as good the second time.
