A very nice boutique hotel. Really large rooms, recently decorated, clean and with a very nice bathroom and a balcony. Staff was really nice and very helpful.
Breakfast was great, and served in a very nice dining room.
Plenty of parking outside the hotel, and they have a private garage for extra.
The hotel also has a very good restaurant.

Overall... the good:
- well... everything

The bad:
- I couldn't find non-Italian speaking channels on TV...

Let me just say that if you are visiting Maranello to see the Ferrari museum and factory make time in your schedule to at least stay the night here. It was a fabulous memory for us. So quiet. So elegant. So homey. So... PERFECT.

And when you find out the history, it gets even better. The proprietor's family have had a small operation here for decades. Her father was a cartoonist/artist for advertising and throughout the restaurant, you'll find his fantastic pencil drawings in frames.

When we rolled in, fresh from visiting the red-palace down the road where we watched Fernando Alonzo place third in the British Gran Prix (now THAT was a fun day to be at the epicentre of Ferrari). Arriving at the hotel (thank goodness for GPS) we were buzzed into the the immaculate parking garage by Carlo who continually apologized for his lack of English. But he really didn't need to. We got on just fine.

My wife and two teenaged children opted for just one room and it was GREAT. They took the two single beds in the bedroom and my wife and I stayed on the pull out sofa. Usually pullouts feel like prison-camp-mattresses, but this was marvellous. Very comfortable. We hung around the room for the afternoon, watched some Italian football (I forget what was on the line, but something fairly big was on!). I went on a beer hunt in the empty hallways and Carlo happily invited me into the kitchen cooler where a had a staggering amount of brewskies to choose from. What a great way to unwind...

Then it was time to stroll down to dinner under the stars on the terrace. Yes, if the experience could get better it did! Fantastic food, with a starter from the chef called GNOCCO, a sort of puff pastry with prosciutto. YUM. Everything at our outdoor dinner was great including our waiter who spoke PERFECT english. We also met a table of well-heeled couples from the area with their giant boxer-dog who sat quietly under the outdoor tables. (very common in Italy and France for you North Americans who may be appalled at the sight of a pooch in a restaurant). Our main courses were a variety of meet and pasta dishes. We all tried everyone else's entre's and it was all GREAT. Then dessert. Mmmmm. A creamy vanilla gelato (sort of a custard flavour) and a molten chocolate mini cake. YUM.

This place was a highlight for our whole trip and cannot wait to return. GO! STAY! EAT!!

Room Tip: all are great!

Good evening Sig.re Ianpeean
forgive me, but as I already said I do not speak and do not write in English, so I turn to google translator.
His home about review is better than any publicity you could ever imagine or create.
We are always pleased when we leave our precious memories of enthusiastic customers.
When you return to Maranello will always be welcome, thank you for the time you spent there and the beautiful and gratifying words that you have dedicated

The only question you have, when entering this place is why on earth would anyone build such a scrupulously perfect small hotel in such an unlikely location. No, really, Maranello, just like the neighboring Sassuolo are by far not the most interesting places in Italy – ceramics, industry, dull scenery, almost no natural beauty, no sea, no mountains, but there you go, enter the Locanda la Gazzella, enter the rooms, and the only word you have in your mouth is: wow!
Did I say rooms? No way, suite, at least. Each having two rooms, a living room with a balcony/terrace, equipped with everything you can think of to have a nice evening with friends (we were six, and the room could have easily accommodated a dozen), state of the art bathrooms, and a huge, magnificent bedroom, and all this to yourself. Really fantastic.
Getting back to the initial question, there are basically two reasons for staying there (apart from the other obvious one, it was just on your way, like in our case). Ferrari museum is just few kilometers away, well not my piece of cake, but few of my friends were really happy to do a test drive, and the restaurant, fully booked, even if we were there quite out of season. This was the second reason for me to stay there – would be incorrect to say I am disappointed, food was rather good, unfortunately service was not at par with the food, very cold, and quite unfriendly. But the rooms, out of this world, just perfect.

Stayed here for only one night and the hotel was fantastic.
Room was very spacious and clean, with a modern design. Slippers and bathrobes were provided as well as an in-room safe (not often things you'd expect at a family run hotel).
Lots of convenient parking, internet was high speed and reliable.
The staff were attentive and friendly.

The restaurant served up delicious meals for lunch and dinner. Wonderful experience. Will definitely be back!

Room Tip: I stayed in a room on the ground floor, which was faultless.

We stayed at this excellent small hotel when visiting Modena and Maranello. The service , accomodation and staff made our stay truly memorable. The restaurant is exceptional and the facilities such as parking, wifi etc. are all first class. We will certainly be returning when next in the area.
