Located in nice neighbourhood, about 15-20 minute walk from the old city, but the hotel has a bridge to the nearby park that cuts down the walk.
Room was very large and spacious with big bathroom, all updated.
Staff were friendly and helpful, and spoke English fluently.
We got especially good advice from Erika who recommended a nearby restaurant ( Santa Croce ) for dinner , and made a reservation for us, which turned out to be wonderful. Creative dishes, with local foods and wines, and they looked after us well and even made a special request pasta. Erika also gave us tips on the shopping area and we enjoyed strolling around it, especially Via. Farini for Parmesan and prosciutto !
Wish we had been there longer as you can arrange a tour of the cheese and prosciutto farms but it takes a day, though we are told it is very interesting. There are no " tourist buses" and lots of old cit streets are pedestrian only, so walking is mandatory to see them.

Room Tip: South views on higher floors show the huge parc ducale behind the hotel but the street side is not too noisy as the hotel is well set back.

We stayed here twice because it was the hotel of choice with Globus tours. The hotel was nice enough but we felt the location wasn't the best. The big issue was internet was limited to 30 minutes only in the lobby unless you paid for it. Coffee shops offer free wifi so this is one way to gouge the guests. We hope to never go back to any of their hotels unless they get with modern times.
Many of the staff could care less about giving attention. We sat in the bar over 15 minutes with a waiter standing behind the bar doing nothing. We finally had to call him over in order to get a drink. Many in our group were unhappy with staff. They obviously could care less about your needs.

Cannot praise this hotel highly enough. Lovely, spacious room intelligently designed. Helpful and knowledgeable staff, great breakfast, and a dinner at 20 Euros that simply was remarkable value. On top of that, the hotel was very helpful to us when we had to cut a booked 5 night stay down to one for only two nights. My only regret is that we could not stay the full 5 nights, as this is one of the most well-run hotels we have had the pleasure to stay at. And Parma itself is a wonderful town, sized just right, with a Parisian style central par, a tower that looks like the one in Pisa, but does not lean and is not overrun 24/7 with tourists, and does not seem to have been discovered by the US hordes in Tuscany. Wonderful respite.

Room Tip: The Executive Room was huge with a huge bathroom as well

This hotel provides everything a traveller can ask for. Clean, spacious rooms, comfortable bed, great soundproofing, professional stuff. The breakfast was the best we had in our 7 day trip in Emilia-Romagnia that included 3 different hotels. The hotel is right next to Parco Ducale - which is great if you travel with a dog (like us). The only thing that I didn't like is that you have to pay for wi-fi connection and parking.

This hotel is likely not a full four stars IMO. Some minor issues did affect my opinions but I am unable to mark it the 3.5 I felt it deserved.

When we arrived with our coach tour, the porter staff all gave a warm welcome and greeting to us. Doesn't sound like a big point perhaps, but my experiences in Italy would say different, in fact, this was a first and was greatly appreciated. Reception staff were also friendly and very helpful with directions.

The room was very spacious, carpet was like new, wood work throughout the building was spectacular and the shower had lots of pressure, and good hot water. Our room had a shower /tub with an additional hand wand. Good towels and a large confy bed with very nice linen. AC worked fine and the window opened for air. Quiet enough to sleep with window open. The entire hotel was spotless and clean.

Issue 1 - There was no free wifi available in the room, and only thirty minutes of free wifi in the lobby, otherwise it's pay as you go. That should be changed IMO.
Issue 2 - Only one of two elevators were operating, and the stair cases were marked as alarmed no access except in emergency. That should also be changed IMO as I would prefer to run stairs for the lower floors.

Breakfast buffet was excellent both days with lots of staff. On our first night, some of our travel mates enjoyed a great dinner meal and service in the dining room on our first night.

Issue 3 - Our dining room experience the second night was a sad comedy of errors. Only two staff at 7:30 onward and they spoke no English. Dishes could not be explained, dishes were sent to wrong tables, wine was never delivered despite ordering it twice. The two young staff members tried very hard but were in over their heads.

There is a huge park right beside the hotel in which all the locals enjoy their outdoor time. Old town area is a simple 15 minute walk away. This is wonderful property with great staff and could be a full four stars with a few changes.
