When you walk into a restaurant and there's no one else there, it's usually time to worry, especially for my husband. BUT we had a really good feeling about this place and we stayed for lunch. Service was attentive (of course!) and our meal wasn't delivered any the sooner because it was cooked to order, as one would hope. My husband is a big Mario Batali fan so we had the fried polenta with lardo to start. If you didn't grow up in a fat-consuming community like we did, be prepared for it! He followed it with carpaccio di manzo which was perfectly sliced.
I had petto d'anastra con aceto di balsemico. It was unbelievable. Truly a memorable dish. Very rich so I was glad for the green salad I ordered with it.
