We are interested in theatre so this was a 'must see'. It really is amazing, a huge space with tiered wooden seating for over a thousand people I would say. A great reconstruction after it was very badly damaged in the war.

... although not originally old , since it was actually rebuilt after Second World War due to bit damage ...Worth to take few hours time to go and visit it... no words ...just amazing
The Teatro Farnese was built for a wedding five centuries ago in Parma's Palazzo della Pilota. It suffered damage in World War Two but has been lovingly restored. Made almost entirely of wood, it was successfully adapted in 2016 for a presentation of Verdi's Giovanna d'Arco (Joan of Arc) as part of the annual Verdi Opera Festival. But this places is worth a visit at any time of the year.
Impressive place with fantastic wooden architecture. It comes as a surprise, being hidden in a large building. It's a must see in Parma and, together with the National Gallery, makes a very interesting visit.
itinerary was chosen by Great Performance Tours. Excellent. would do it again and i am sure I will. the theater is beautifully redone with the old style well preserved.
A great place to visit and easily accessible in the city centre near the Stendahl hotel.
There is so much space and plenty to see to satisfy a variety of tastes.
