We were here on January the 1st, after 'fasting' most of the day... Our table of 6 was in an almost-private room, facing a vast assortiment of wines: good sign! The decor was cosy and the service very friendly. We decided to skip the 'salumi' as starter, fearing an overdose after a few days in Parma. Every dish was prepared with care, seasonal ingredients and thouroughly satisfying: tortelli and freshly made pastas, meats (smoked pork fillet with artichoke salad... a delight!) and desserts (a highlight, especially the semifreddo, which is hardly ever home-made). A bit on the expensive-side, but we were actually expecting worse... Recommended!

Being a meat lover, I have only ever really consumed the deliciously tasty and extravagant meat here.

What about you? Do you like meat? Do you like Beef? Do you like a Fiorentina? The Italian T-Bone steak is served best at Parma Rotta!

An incredible selection of different meats are available on the menu which tells you the origin of the meat (ranging from Austria to Alaska!) and some of the prices are ridiculous! However, I have been there several times for many a special occasion and we have always been delighted with how tasty, succulent and tender the meat is. They cook it over open fire about 1m off the ground for however long you want it to be cooked (rare to medium rare is always my choice).

You can't go wrong with the antipasto di terra starters (a selection of different types and cuts hams, ranging from COPPA to CULATELLO to PROSCIUTTO).

The Potato Fries are fantastic too, and marry the meat very well (absorb the steak juice ever so nicely!) and to drink, you can choose from a range of reds that will make your pallet orgasm! Barolo or Amarone are the rule when it comes to prime red meat!

I've also tried some bottled Belgian beer which needed the waiter to hit the back of it with a knife to prep it out... a new experience for me, and the beer was so tasty and malty i would seriously recommend it!

By the time dessert time comes, we are too stuffed to move let alone order... But we've managed to gather enough energy to devour a chocolate brownie type dessert like a pack of wolves, and it was delicious.

I would strongly recommend this, but I am only giving this 4 stars for the reason that the prices are a little bit too high for some of the meats, and the last time I went it was a little overcooked and disappointing. Also, the service was not as fast, and they really should've asked whether I wanted another steak when I said it tasted different (especially when the cost is €80!)

Had dinner with my boyfriend and was very disappointed with the staff.
I normally write good reviews and the food we had was good unfortunately the service was shocking. Problems started with first order when we ordered water, now we eat out a few times a week and the norm in Parma is normal water is always the general Panna brand, we were given something unheard off and did not like the taste after asking if the had anything else they brought us The standard brand Panna. As a celebration We ordered a bottle of our favorite wine Armarone red wine and the young waiter struggled to open it, after 5 mins, splitting the cork in bits and everyone watching him, he called for help. Second arrogant waiter opened the wine and upon tasting we said it was off, however he disagreed and had his colleague smell it. eventually he asked us to leave it to breath for 10mins, We agreed and the wine was still off but the waiter ARGUED that it was not, At this point, if we had not started eating we would off walked out but just let it go to try and enjoy our night.
Food arrived and first course was good but nothing to write home about, soup for me and fried artichoke, next we both had fillet meat which was good. We tried our wine again and that vinegar taste of bad wine was still their so we didn't drink any of the wine.
Upon asking for the bill at this point, they should of taken the bottle off or at least offered a discount but they ignored the fact that we didn't touch the wine, cleared our table and charged both waters and wine, we paid the bill and left. We will not return.

The restaurant has a cafe look with red umbrellas out front. We ate outside. The pizza is made with a wood fire oven and was excellent. We had a salad as well and then stopped at the shop next to the restaurant for some ice cream cones. This is a simple restaurant with food at reasonable prices.

We love this restaurant. Meat is delicious, Antonio is a master at grilling.
Handmade pasta, porcini mushrooms and truffles if in season are a few others staples worth the try.
The restaurant also has a good extensive wine list.
You won't absolutely be disappointed.
