We decided to sit down at the local Bar Cardelli and have lunch there. It was right next to the palace so we had a great view of it. In the middle of our lunch we had the privilege to watch the guard changing. Nice experience. :) Also something rare you see: we were able to pay for our lunch with a credit card, yes!

Nice building, although not as old as you might think. Fits in well with the pomp and ceremony that seems to govern San Marino. Part of the all in one Public Attraction Ticket that includes the towers and public museums - well worth it.

One word - beautiful! Like in fairy tales. Located maybe on the best place in the city which gives the best view over the houses and valley below.
When walking in its direction from the lower parts of the city, note the high city wall which serves also as a foundation of the palace. The lowest windows are below the level of the Palace square.
