We travel in Europe a great deal and can't say enough about Le Corderie. The place is new, clean, and tastefullly decorated; the staff (especially Edvige) is absolutely and cheerfullly attentive to your needs; there's ample drinks and snacks always available in the lobby; the internet is FREE (not 30 euro as elsewhere!) and the breakfast is one of the best we've had in Europe. Patricia, the pastry chef, is a genius. The place is a little out of the way, so you'll have to be an enthusiastic walker or use car/cabs, but that should not deter you from checking into this wonderful place Especially at the astonishing rates for what you get. Five stars across the board. We're coming back again soon!

We stayed for 3 nights in October and were very impressed. All staff could not have been more helpful, the rooms were comfortable and had all you could wish,in addition the mini bar and indeed the drinks in the reception area were at your disposal, something of a novelty for us.The buffet at breakfast was the best i have seen from the point of view of freshness and variety - cakes, pastries, fruit, parma ham.prosecco, and the rest!
One little note of caution - as you are a good way out of town be aware that the number 8 bus is very close and will take you into town and you can buy an all-day ticket which you can use to take you up and down the coast to Muggia for example not to be missed. anyway a great hotel to which we would certainly return.

I am so glad to have found this hotel. It's possibly the best hotel I've stayed in. The standard price would have been outside my range but there was a 25% discount for a stay of 2 nights or more. This brought the price in line with 3 star hotels in Trieste (and my price range), but the standard of Hotel Le Corderie was significantly higher.

The entire hotel is beautifully designed and the attention to detail is something I wish more hotels had. The staff were all extremely friendly, courteous and helpful even helping me learn a little Italian. The breakfast was delicious with a large variety of brioches, cakes, fruit, cheese, prosciutto crudo etc. I've not had tiramisu for breakfast before but it was gorgeous.

For me the location was ideal as I was working nearby. For those wishing to spend a lot of time near Piazza Unita, it is further than many hotels and is up on the hill so walking there may be a trek for some. Having said that, I think it is definitely worth it.

The only thing I would change would be the taps in the bathroom which were a bit fiddly to turn off.

We spent two wonderful nights at Hotel Le Corderie. First, the customer service was outstanding. We appreciated the warm welcome and helpful tips on dining in the city. We found our room to be so comfortable, although small, and not lacking any amenities. It was absolutely peaceful at night. We found the contemporary design and the crisp color scheme of white, shades of tan, and orange accents to be so refreshing. The breakfast was amazing with an incredible selection of delicious items. While the location is approximately one kilometer from the center of town, we did not mind the walk through the charming streets. If you are not accustomed to walking up steep inclines and steps, you can always rely on the covenient public buses. Trieste was the starting point for our vacation and Hotel Le Corderie was a perfect place for us to relax and recover from jet lag. Overall, it was perfect and we highly recommend it.

The hotel is new, but in an established neighborhood located on the hillside just barely outside downtown (walk, bus or taxi to city center). The uphill walk to the hotel after dinner may be its only drawback for those not in good physical shape. The decor is modern but not cold, and the staff is warm and friendly. Every part of the hotel and its grounds is very clean and tatefully arranged. The breakfast is awesome - a feast as well as an artistic creation at the table. The recommendations of the manager about where to eat, etc. where perfect.

I stayed here for two nights on a trip to Trieste with my boyfriend. Room and bath were spotless and good size (for Italian standard). The whole hotel seemed to be brand new. The breakfast was excellent: very high quality and good choice. The hotel staff is the best one I have ever experienced for a 4start italian hotel.
Maybe the only "negative" points are: there is not restaurant into the hotel and it is not so close to "Piazza dell' Unità" (but maybe at a walkable distance...). We used our car to move around. No problem for parking: the area is very safe and we left the car along the street.
The hotel staff suggested us "Le Barettine" restaurant for dinner: do not miss it, the food is unbelivable...

I recently stayed at this Hotel when I had a weekend stop over to visit relatives whilst on a business trip in Europe. This was the best Hotel I stayed durring my 12 days away. It was cosy, quiet and very helpful friendly staff. It was very clean with a great bed with new fittings and fit out etc. It was the best type of Hotel to serve its purpose. The only thing that was not the greatest was its location is not exacty central. This did not bother me as I was out with relatives for the majority of the time.

I travel quite a bit on business etc. and you know the feeling of wanting to stay in a place a bit longer or getting out ASAP - well I could of stayed here allot longer it had a nice feeling.
