Our few days at the Ariamarina exceeded all our expectations. The beautifully furnished, comfortable apartment which has two rooms is in a great location central to all the bars, restaurants and the main piazza. Nadia the owner is friendly and helpful and speaks better English than we do Italian! She provided a lovely spread each morning which set us up for the day, and gave us suggestions about where to eat, all very good they were too. Both rooms are beautifully appointed. The slightly smaller of the two has french doors leading onto a little patio, which in warmer weather would have been perfect for breakfast. The larger room overlooks the street but with double glazing and shutters was very quiet. It also has a kitchenette.
Excellent value and highly recommended.

This is in the old part of the city, in a recently sympathetically rebuilt terrace. The Ariamarina B&B is on the 1st floor. We had a pleasant, light room facing onto the courtyard. The weather was not quite warm enough to eat outside but Nadia, the landlady, provided us with excellent breakfast indoors, including local specialties. She's a lovely lady with not much English, making for excellent practice in learning Italian and she was very helpful with suggestions on where to eat. We managed to cope with the very small shower but those with more ample waistlines might struggle.

We arranged to stay here during a reunion of my partner (who is Italian) and her classmates at Trieste University. Nadia was the perfect hostess, giving generously of her knowledge of local restaurants and other attractions, as well as serving a varied and delicious breakfast in the little patio adjoining our room. Her flat (she now lives elsewhere in the building) has been transformed into a lovely and comfortable home for travelers, which spacious rooms, and up to date bathrooms and even tv - not to mention the free internet connection! We cannot recommend this place highly enough...

Room Tip: I confess that we only saw the room we stayed in to any great extent, along with the living room. Ou...

My husband and I recently stayed at Ariamarina. This bed and breakfast was superb in all respects. The owner, Nadia (Nadji), was the most wonderful hostess and very helpful in her recommendations for sightseeing and dining. The accommodations were well appointed and immaculate. Breakfast on the patio among her flowers was like dining in an outdoor garden. The location was perfect for sightseeing, walking to restaurants, and we felt very safe in the area. Can't wait to return.

Room Tip: Quiet and pristine in the heart of the city....a true oasis.

B&B Ariamarina was perfect, Nadia the hostess is charming and warm. She recommended a very good place for us to eat on the first night and also recommended the best sunbathing spot!
The apartment is nicely decorated and the rooms and bathrooms were very clean. My boyfriend is over 6 feet and he found the shower small but loved the jacuzie jets!
It is tranquil, with no street noise, and is centrally located in the Old Town.
The breakfast was served outside and was beautiful; it included pastries, speciality cakes, fresh fruit, yoghurt etc. The coffee was excellent. Being English we might have liked some eggs...
This was our first time staying in a B&B and we would certainly stay here again and recommend it to friends.
Trieste as a holiday destination was the perfect mix of culture/activities and seaside/relaxing; it is within easy reach of Venice (we spent a day here, by train), Solvenia and Croatia. The weather was gorgeous, about 30 degrees with a breeze.
I recommend you have a little Italian, as the area is not very touristy so most locals only speak basic English.

Room Tip: Cannella: The larger of the two rooms, studio feel with a long desk/snack bar, sofa, large bed, ensu...

Value for money and hospitality are great at this small and efficiently-run B&B. Live-in owner Nadja is a Trieste-native who converted the family-flat into the facility after her nest emptied. She's lively and friendly, although self-admittedly shy about speaking English with her guests. Communication is not an issue, though. Rooms are about 80 € for double and 68 for single-use of a double. There are only two rooms. Breakfast is served in a secluded, quite and pleasant internal courtyard and is freshly abundant.
The rooms are a good size, nicely appointed and quiet. The location is superbly central. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Both rooms are spacious and quiet. You can't go wrong.

We (an American couple in our 60s) stayed here three nights October. As others have reported, the 2 bedrooms are clean and comfortable and each has a nice en suite bath. It is very centrally located, no more than a 10 orf 15 min. walk from the Piazza d'Unita Italia. The best thing about it, however, is the owner, Nadia Lukac. She is warm, enthusiastic and gracious.
