“Excellent pizza, open at night!”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

In the night, when every other terrace is closing, you can still eat here, but only pizza! The menu, with various dishes is available only during the day. You can choose from a variety of Paulaner specialties.

“Some Central-Europe flavour along the Trieste sea side”
Reviewed 26 April 2014

The Birreria Paulaner is a first choice place to dine while visiting the sea side of the historical part of Trieste. The restaurant can accommodate large groups and is located in front of the Aquarious, close to the Piazza Unita' - (the best spot of Trieste at night, and not only). The menu' variety is impressing, ranging from thick "american-style" pizzas to the much better ones (in my opinion) Italian style, up to Central-Europe specialties. The variety of beers is remarkable, and the service efficiency good. The value-for-money is definitely acceptable. The only problem is that it is mostly closed at lunch time.

“Germany vs. Italy”
Reviewed 4 October 2013 via mobile

I got in because it was the only full place near the sea.
I had 1l of German Beer (just like in the Oktoberfest) and I order one of the selection of Thir pizzas.

I was really felling like I'm in Germany. A specially that the pizza wasn't that good (like a pizza you eat in Germany)

The place was decorated beautifully!! And the stuff where really nice.

“PIzza after midnight”
Reviewed 10 May 2013

It is the only late dinner option in Trieste: huge restaurant with a bavarian flair, good beer (but the Löwenbräu was much better), average pizza, good pasta and lots of different sandwiches.
If you are hungry after midnight, it is the place to go.

“Mixed feelings”
Reviewed 7 January 2013

Positive aspects of this restaurant are that it is huge and can accommodate big groups (but booking is advised) and is open everyday until late. Also, they serve good beer. They have an impressive pizza menu, however, their pizza is definitely not the best in the city, and is quite heavy. They serve good meat. Contrary to what is stated in other reviews, I always found their service quite fast (depending, that is true, on the number of customers), and reasonably courteous, if not friendly. Not cheap.
