arrived there for a late lunch at approx. 2 pm! unfortunately there hasn't been a free table! but waiting is no problem when having an aperol sprizz at the bar (3€!!! like we say in austria: just lke a gift!! and very tasty) the waiter immediately gave us a table after 5 minutes of waiting! as our italian is a little bit, let's say, very weak, took his tim and explained us the dishes in question! so no problem! meals itself were also very tasty! no long waiting time! prices are quite moderate! if we will ever come to trieste again for a few days, we will definitely have stop in this ri e little ristorante!

I usually try to find something good to say before blurting out criticism, but this time... nada :(
The service was terrible to begin with: outnumbered, slow, sweating...not unpolite, they really tried their best, they were just not enough for the season, I suppose...
The menu is as scarce as it is obscure, and the day's specialty weren't even translated into English (no wifi, no Google Translate).
If you can get one of the metal tables, go for it, because the wooden tables and chair on the pavement will have you dance a gig while trying to eat your meal...
...which wasn't really worthy of what you'd expect in a charming typical Italian city like Trieste. The seafood is very fresh, you won't fall sick, but it's basically the quality you'd expect in a small restaurant of downtown Milan, and at half the price.

Avoid for the moment. The location is good, so there's potential for a very good restaurant, but wait for the next owner's change...

The staff is not very well trained, they could barely understand the word "vegetarian".
The wine was drinkable, there was a strong smell of fish that has followed us until home.
What can I say? The old "Vecchia Lira" was a bit better and less expensive.
