The spaghettoteca is a really hidden place - to all possible extends. It starts with the peculiar opening hours, goes on with the door not giving much of a sign that there might be a restaurant unless it's open and doesn't end at the special way the interior was put together.
Now, this sounds negative, but it's not at all. The place has a very unique friendliness, the service was excellent and very familiar. We visited as a couple and had two pastas of which both were excellent. Nothing over-fancy, not a 5 star restaurant but genuine Italian pasta, cooked to the point and with a delicious sauce.
Prices are reasonable, more on the lower side for Trieste I would say. We'll definitely come back (we visit Trieste quite often). If you're on a trip and want to have a good value for the money true Italian pasta, this is the place to go.
Opening hours are strange tho. As far as I remember, it opens at 19:00 and closes at 21:00.
I'll update the opening hours next time we visit.
