I stayed here with a mate on a cheap 3 day trip around the Friuli Venezia Giulia region at the end of April 2011. When we arrived at the hotel, we missed it a couple of times, as it's labelled Centrale Pensione, rather than hotel, but after 10 minutes or so, my companion pointed it out to me and, sure enough, it was the right place. We went up the stairs and were quickly greeted by the receptionist, who took our passports and gave us a key for our room.
The room was not huge, but had enough space. There were a wardrobe and a good sized chest of drawers too, had we been staying a bit longer. The shower was powerful and hot at all times we tried to use it. The bidet and sink were both clean and fine. The window looked onto an internal courtyard that wasn't very interesting, but no noise from the street came through. We stayed in a room with a shared WC and that was in a small cupboard about 10 metres from our door.
Breakfast was nothing to write home about and we ended up only eating in the hotel on the day we were taking a long train ride to Venice. There were a few pastries and jams, with some bread. Not bad, but a bit low on choice. The "juice" was also cordial, which was a bit of a shame. Coffee was obviously excellent.
The location, for the cost of the hotel was genuinely impressive. We were next to the Chiesa di San Antonio, and all of the best bars and restaurants, central piazza and the railway station were within 10 minutes' walk.
I would certainly stay there again if I was in the area.
