This place was wunderfull!
We stayed in Pusu 1 and 2, so we had the terrase for our self what was nice so we coud have breakfast outside with a good few at the village square! The appartements were verry clean and nice decorated.
Lidia the owner of this beautiful place is verry helpfull and friendly. Because we arrived late her husband picked us up from the trainstation..so we didn´t do the walk up the stairs with our luggage!
Corniglia is a good place to stay, in he midle of the cinque terre! Also the boat will not stop at this village there is a perfect connection by train to the other villages.
We will for sure recommend this place by Lidia! You will have a vacation you wll not forget!

Oh and i forget the detail that you can swim..if you do the walk down to the sea! There is not a beach but rocks to go into the sea, we liked to do a liitle swim after a long day walking!

I was arranging a trip for several friends before my wedding and Anna and Lidia were both very accomodating and easy to communicate with. They were able to find space for 20+ people nearby one another and were flexible when different people wanted to arrive early/stay late. 20 of us stayed in the same building and enjoyed the roof deck with a beautiful view. It was perfect for us and right in the center of town. Access to parking was a nice added perk as well. Can't say enough about how great this was!

We stayed here for 4 nights. We weren't sure which village to stay at in Cinque Terre and are definitely glad to have chosen this one. We visited all of the villages and liked them all but this one is the quietest and in my opinion the most beautiful and quaint of all of them. Whilst there are a lot of tourists there during the day, the morning and evening are fairly quiet. The area for swimming is also fantastic, very quiet and beautiful.

Lidia who owns the place is fantastic. Very friendly and welcoming. We arrived to a small bottle of the local wine to try which was a lovely thought. She gave us all the local information about transport, hikes etc. She showed us everything we needed to know about the room and roof terrace area and she gave us a little tour of the village. Whenever we saw her during our stay she always checked that we were ok. When we left on the last day she looked after our bags for us as our flight was late evening and we wanted to enjoy the day in Corniglia. She even gave us extra towels to use for the beach so we didn't need to use ours and she gave us access to a toilet and sink.

The rooms was great, very clean, loads of towels and kettle some cutlery etc so you can do your own breakfast etc very easily.

The roof terrace is great with views of the village, hills and sea.

One thing to note, check where Lidia will meet you! I assumed it was the address on the website and it wasn't, she usually meets you in the square.

Overall, fantastic! If we were to ever to go back to Corniglia I would go back here! Thank you Lidia.

My now husband and I were in Corniglia for one week for our wedding. When our group of 14 people arrived, Lidia and her husband Fabrizio greeted us warmly in the village square, escorting us to our accommodations and then to the rooftop terrace of Il Carugio for a wonderful surprise of a fantastic spread of local food and drink - one of many examples of Lidia and Fabrizio celebrating our marriage over the course of our time in Cinque Terre. They provided us with all the hiking and touring information we would need, and made themselves available for other needs that may pop up. They shared in our excitement for our upcoming marriage, made us feel very welcome and accepted - they even took the time to attend our ceremony. We felt like a big family during our time in Corniglia, Lidia and Fabrizio truly shared in our joy and did everything they could to make our stay perfect. Our group was spread out in different buildings, but were all easily accessible. Everything was clean and well kept. The views from the windows and terraces were breathtaking. You are right in the center of town and feel very much immersed in the village when you are there. We will definitely stay in any of the Il Carugio apartments our next time in Cinque Terre. Grazie mille Lidia e Fabrizio!

We stayed at Il Carugio for two nights and Lidia, the owner, was absolutely wonderful. As soon as we arrived to Corniglia she met us and showed us to our room. She was waiting for us even though we had difficulty communicating our arrival time with her and were unable to get word to her about our later than planned arrival. We arrived late in the evening and she was concerned that we wouldn't be able to find a place to eat. She thoughtfully helped us make a reservation for us at a delicious restaurant (La Posada) so we wouldn't go hungry! The room was impeccably clean and had everything you would need for a vacation. The kitchenette was well stocked and there were lots of thoughtful details throughout the apartment. the bed was the most comfortable one we slept on in Italy. Lidia also helped us plan our hike for the next day and was very attentive. There is also a very nice rooftop terrace with comfortable seating and potted herbs that you could use if you cooked. It was lovely for resting after a long day's hike.

Room Tip: The rooms are all in one building. Request a room on ground level or a lower level if you don't...

We were 9 friends celebrating a 50yrs birthday during our stay and rented 4 of the 6 units of the house for 4 nights the first week of September. All units was comfortable and clean with kichen (though we online used the fridge since we had all meals at restaurants- a new every day) On the amazing roof terrasse we had great time after daily hiking to the other villages. Next to the entrance door there were a small grocery store were we bought quite a lot of procecco..The house was perfekt for us situated in the hearth of the cozy village. Breakfast we had every day at Caffe Matteo, who had a nice patio and lovely staff. (With free wifi to customers) Thanks to the owner Lidia who made our stay fantastic. She was from the moment we arrived so helpful and gave a lot of tips what to do, where to walk, eat and whatever we asked for, she helped us with a warm hospitality. Thanks Lidia, next time we visit Cinque Terre we will stay at IL Carugio.

Room Tip: Mono 4 and Mono 5 are on the third floor both with double bed plus a nice balcony with sea view and...

My wife and I stayed at Il Carugio di Corniglia earlier this month, for 4 days. Lidia greeted us with such warmth; it was a huge contrast to how things were in Rome and Florence. I felt as if she welcomed us into her home like she would a family member. In broken, but comprehendible English, she spent a ton of time explaining how the trains, boats, and hiking trails worked. She gave us time tables and maps, too (which ended up being very helpful). Like the other reviewers have said, she is an amazing host.

As far as the room goes, it too was amazing! It had recently been redone, it was modern and comfortable. It was clean and quiet. Corniglia is so small, I think you could stay just about anywhere and be in "central" Corniglia. The bells from the nearby churches were very loud and disturbing at some points of the night (I think they were going until midnight one night), but there's no escaping that regardless of where you stay. Our balcony had a nice view, too.

I would 100% recommend staying here. The location is great, the place is nice and quiet, the price was right, and you couldn’t ask for a better host! Thanks Lidia!
