“Perfect all round”

Excellent place to stay in Corniglia. The rooms were spacious, light, airy, clean and tidy with excellent views. Beds and pillows were comfortable and bathroom was very sizeable. We also loved that there was a shared kitchen with fridge, microwave, mini stove and espresso machine. Agnese and Fabrizio (the owners/hosts) were very friendly and extremely helpful and we were delighted to bump into Fabrizio again at the train station as he also runs the bar/shop there. Agnese also arranged accommodation for us at an alternative location when we decided on a whim to stay an extra night (Arbasia was booked).

I fell in love with this place. Quiet, clean, spacious with great views. Agnese and her staff were so lovely to us and it was so great to be able to buy food and use a kitchen rather than having to go to restaurants. The rooms were a big surprise. Much more modern and comfortable than it looks on the web. I can't think of enough good things to say about it. Highly recommended.
If you want to escape the relentless tourists in the other Cinque Terre villages this is the place for you.
Catch the little blue bus from the railway station and you get to a small, charming village with friendly people, great food and beautiful walks.

Room Tip: only 4 rooms, all good

Patrizio and his family go out of their way to make your stay here the best. Great location to experience all that Cinque Terra has to offer. When eating your free yummy breakfast at the family owned restaurant say Ciao to Christian from Artemio. Grazie!

Room Tip: Any room offers a great view to the Lingurian sea.

We booked into the B&B for a last minute break in the Cinque Terre (beautiful area for walking, by the way). After a little confusion about how to get to the B&B, the wonderful owner, Agnese, collected from the bus stop in the centre of the village (10 minutes and €1.50 from the station) and took us to our room. Accomodation was spotlessly clean with a great view over the sea. Pity there was no balcony to sit out and admire it though there is a public panorama just a few minutes walk away. Agnese couldn't have been more welcoming - all charm and smiles, and she provided a bottle of the local white wine (excellent) and a cake for guests to share (similarly amazing). Despite its name, there is no breakfast though there is a small shared kitchen area to prepare food. Plenty of tasty delicatessens just a few steps away to load up on locally produced hams, cheeses and fruit. The room was perfectly quiet with just the sound of the breaking waves below to lull you to sleep at night. A perfect address.

Room Tip: Like any B&B, there are no communal areas so take a good book in case the weather turns rainy.

We actually stayed in another apartment owned by the people who run the Affittacamere - we had booked the Affittacamere but they had no-one in the other apartment when we went and they said we could stay there for the same price (it had a full kitchen and private bathroom, was just down the road and had a similar view from the balcony). This meant it was EXTREMELY good value. We didn't actually see the Affittacamere as we loved the apartment so much we stayed there without seeing the other, but as far as I can tell it will have the same gorgeous view as it's just down the road.

Corniglia is stunning, and slightly less crowded than the other Cinque Terre towns, possibly because there are around 500 steps from the train station and the sea to the town itself. We found this 100% a good thing because it kept some people away and meant we came home from holiday fitter than we had arrived! There is absolute silence at night apart from the frogs and birds, and I found this an incredibly relaxing place to stay.

The staff were lovely and very helpful. Someone came to change the sheets and towels every two days, and when we said we couldn't get the washing machine to work they washed our clothes for us at no charge.

First of all, the room itself was immaculately clean, and the view was *unbelievable.* We woke up each morning to the sound of the waves on the bay beneath us. Those views and those sounds alone made this worthy of a very high recommendation.

While there is a breakfast, you do have to walk to a nearby restaurant for it - neither good nor bad for us, but perhaps something that would matter to someone else! The breakfast was excellent.

I should note that there was a bit of an issue "checking in." This isn't a full service hotel - more like a rented room, and so after making a reservation, the owner asked when we were planning on getting in so they could be there. However, the owner was not at the location when we had told them that we would be there. We waited a little while, but then were taken care of. I mention this not to downgrade the facility, but just to let others know that they should perhaps expect more laid back service than other facilities. I would say that our experience seems to be an outlier, though, and even so, that room was well worth the trouble.

Also, to anyone visiting Corniglia by train, beware of the hundreds of steps up from the train station! Don't worry, your work will be rewarded by the amazing views and (in my opinion) the most charming town in the Cinque Terre.

We could not believe what we got! 2 Rooms next to each other sharing the balcony. The most beautiful view from the rooms. We were friends sharing the bathroom. This was spotless and it looked like we were the first persons to use this bathroom. It was nice to have a fridge and kettle. It was almost like a flat. Other reviews was helpfull telling about the quiet little town after you visit the other busy ones. Dinner and breakfast at their restourant was also delicious. We came by car and got confused to get out of the area, because some roads were closed and the GPS could not understand that!! WE could not speak their language but had to get back to LA Spezia to get on the road again to France. It took longer than an hour to get out of the area. But all was a wonderful experience.
