“Corniglia peaceful place”
Reviewed 14 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

This is a fresh, lovely recently renovated flat. It is a few minutes walk from the main centre of Corniglia, but this made it very quiet. The bathroom and kitchen are both very small, but this wasn't an issue with us, we cooked quite a few meals. One person cooking at a time! The outdoor seated area is upstairs, but it is adjunct to the people's garden who live above the flat, and we felt like we didn't want to disturb them so didn't spend time there at all. My partner had a lovely time watching DVDs in the evening. ( in English!). The owner and his friend Gabriel are both wonderfully helpful. I really enjoyed my stay here. If you want a place with views out the window this isn't the place, but Corniglia is all about getting out into the view.

“Home away from home for a month”

Clean, newly painted, well equipped and quiet, as out of the tourist path but only 150 metres from the center piazza. There is a good view of the coast, hills and farms from the roof top patio. We were left basic food supplies, kitchen and cleaning products and bath supplies of soap and toilet paper. Little gifts such as lemons, rosemary, Gf biscuits( as I had asked about availability) made our welcome special. Lorenzo, the owner responds to all queries promptly and efficiently. When there was a problem with the Wi Fi, he travelled over to fix it. Gabriel, the manager who resides in Corniglia was friendly, helpful and answered queries immediately. We had a good supply of bedding, towels, tea towels etc. It was gas, so the hot water was endless. The house/flat was centrally heated. We had so many walks available in the town and surrounds so we did not need to use the large TV/DVD. The month of March allowed us to experience the small community coming to life after winter without all the tourists. We loved our time with the community and recommend the flat as a place you can all home.

“Small and perhaps too cosy for comfort”
Reviewed 2 January 2013 for a stay in May 2012

The photos of the apartment are rather too flattering, I felt. For a single or couple this apartment could be ok, but more than two would certainly be cramped. The second "bedroom" is in fact the small living room with an uncomfortable sofabed. Virtually no storage space for clothes. The apartment gets little sun so was rather, cold, damp and dreary in May, though the weather was very fine. The coolness could be a benefit at the height of summer. Kitchen and bahroom, both pokey. The groundfloor terrace was an uninviting backyard; the mini-terrace upstairs was reachable by steep, unsecured steps and the view only enjoyable while standing. The owners are very friendly but not resident nearby so the key was anonymously left for us with contact details for a local, who came promptly when needed because the boiler played up.
In high summer when the weather's hot, could be fine, but not recommendable for more than 2 persons in anything other than hot weather.

Management Response
2 Jan 2013
I completely understand and acknowledge this review.
We finished the house and began renting at the end of April 2012.
Being new in the "business" we surely had lots of faults to begin with: some photos/captions were a little misleading, some furniture was missing and other items were uncomfortable and old.
With time, and thanks to suggestions from our guests we tried to fix up things and improve our rental.
Damp and wet weather for most of May surely did not help us initially, but we tried to address also this issue with a new dehumidifier and boosting our heating plant.
