“Great B&B in a very convenient location!”
Reviewed 27 July 2014

We stayed in Cinque Terre for 3 nights, and made one of the best decisions to use Manarola as a base. San Giorgio is in an extremely convenient location as it is just outside the tunnel from the train station. Simone and Clara were both friendly and excellent in providing us with tips on what to do in Manarola and around Cinque Terre as well.

A few points:
- Whilst you do not have to worry about lugging your bags up any hilly terrain, note, however, that the B&B and rooms are up a few flights of stairs.
- There is no breakfast included in the stay, but there is a cafe right next door where you can enjoy a discount if you're staying in San Giorgio.
- The rooms are basic, but are very comfortable and clean. There is only shower gel provided, so if you're particular about hair upkeep, make sure to bring your own shampoo and conditioner.
- Make sure to check out the Gelateria 5Terre for THE best gelato (it's only a few shops away from the B&B) and head out to Nessun Dorma for AMAZING cocktails and smashing views of the iconic Manarola skyline.

We stayed 4 nights in the top floor suite with the huge view deck - everything was first class. The location is just outside the tunnel from the train station - no steps or hills to climb. Downstairs is a grocery with everything you need. This suite was set up with a kettle, toaster, small fridge etc. so you could have breakfast in or wine and cheese later. There were two air conditioners - one for the bedroom and one for the living room with the hide-a-bed couch which is king-size and extremely comfortable. Three doors up is the best homemade ice cream and you are very close to lots of great seafood restaurants. The management was terrific - even calling Venice for us to see about a lost stuffed dog. It was a real treat to stay here!

Room Tip: The top floor suite was more money but well worth it.

This is an excellent place to stay, with extraordinarily helpful staff and the perfect location (right in the middle of town, but before you have to drag your bags up the hill). The rooms are spacious, modern and clean. There is no breakfast, but that was made clear before we booked and there were plenty of breakfast options in town

Spent two nights in this very centrally located accommodation. As you come through tunnel from train it is to the right of café and shop in front of you. No need to walk up steep path to other places. Rooms modern, comfortable and clean. Tea and coffee in room.Fridge provided. Breakfast at café next door (discount if staying at guesthouse). Lovely place to sit and watch world go by. Nice little shops and post office up the street and more shops down towards the water.
Very nice helpful hosts. Many nearby restaurants and cafes. A short walk to the water and wonderful view. Walk to the top of the town for views. We had balcony in room 105.
We had three flight of stairs- no lift provided!

we have one night at the highest flat. It was perfect. Simone is very helpful. The flat is big, and has 3 balcons, 2 mountain views, and 1 sea view. I take my breakfast at the huge terresse with a sea view.

From the beginning Simone corresponded with me, informing us where to leave our rental car, taking the train, and things to do in Cinque Terre. It was our 10th Anniversary and Simone welcomed us to his new outdoor bar with a gorgeous view and some wine and apptz. Our room was really large, had a.c. and windows that opened to the street. The bed was really comfortable. Clara was helpful getting us settled. If it wasn't pushing 90 degrees, we would have hiked and done more, but we settled for taking the ferry to neighboring villages for lunch. Beautiful place and only wish we would have brought our bathing suits because the water was so inviting!

Room Tip: Some rooms has small balconys, but not big enough to sit on, so if they are more, a regular room wil...

After getting off the train with our luggage we were thrilled to see that our accommodation was within 100 meters of the station as everything is uphill.
The room and bathroom were extremely large, clean and simple. It also has air-conditioning and WIFI. The only downside was the room was never cleaned and towels were not replaced , but we only spent 2 nights here, so it was not a problem. On my reservation it said breakfast included, but there was no mention of breakfast at check in.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: When looking at accommodation in Cinque Terre check the location as some inns are a half mile or mor...
