Everything with Arbaspaa went veey smoothly. Elisa was great at answering all my questions and explaining everything. No problems finding the office in Manarola and a kind man from the company helped me with my case...although it wasnt the trek i expected to the apartment. It was managable. The steepest part is in the building itself...but all was fine. The apartment is rustic and perfect. The views are breath taking. It was certainly a highlight of our trip. Waking up to those views was fantastic. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was lovely. Kitchen functioned perfectly snd a lovely little balcony to overlook everything along with a nice sunset. Recommended.
The view from this apartment is one of the best on the coast. Will you have to put in some effort to reach it, yes. Travel light, as in a small bag or backpack and you will have no issues. The unit is clean and comfortable, fully stocked and allows for you to do your laundry in the unit. This was a huge benefit to be able to refresh mid-trip and continue on.
The sunsets are amazing from the balcony, enjoy with a local bottle of wine. There is a restaurant right out the apartment entrance, or take a walk down and enjoy an awesome meal at il Porticciolo, amazing food and service.
The apartment is quite new (kitchen, bathroom as well) and it has everything you need for a stay in Cinque Terre.
Be prepared to climb 3 stairs ramps before reach it, but the view is worth it.
Clean, nice, very good for a short stay, only thing is ... a lot of steps to do to reach the apartment .....
Yes there are many steps up to the apartment. But when you are sitting out on the balcony in the evening, watching the sunset, sipping wine, you'll not give them a second's thought.
The apartment has big beds, and we all thought they were fine. It is well equipped, complete with washing line to hang out your clothes, Italian style.
I'd have liked a stronger wi-fi signal, which seemed to come and go but we got by OK.
Couple of tips.
1. The apartment is right beside Trattoria Del Billy. We ate there twice and it is fantastic. Make reservations, and ask for outside.
2. For a faster way into the village, go left when you come out of the building. Then after about 100 yards, at the bottom of steps, you can go left or right. Take a right and that takes you out close to the station.
We stayed in this apartment for a couple of nights in September -- a good time to visit Manarola. I would regard the apartment itself as "average". It was clean, the beds comfortable, and everything in working order -- just needs a little updating. What really makes it worthwhile is the location. It sits at the very top of Manarola overlooking the town and the sea. As a bonus, the restaurant Dal Billy is just outside the entrance to the building. The biggest negative for me was the absence of wifi. It was a small inconvenience but the property manager, Arbaspaa, offered the use of their wifi. By the way...the people at Arbaspaa are outstanding -- well organized with excellent communication.
A wonderful stay in Il Patio, Manarola.
Piera Maria was awesome to communicate with from start to end.
Location was good to do day trips South to Florence, Le Spezia etc, or North to Rapallo and Porto Fino, by train.
All the other Cinque Terre villages are just a few minutes away by train, or even walk to one or two!
The apartment was fab, from cooking facilities, to a great shower and comfortable big bed!
Restaurants and cafes located below the apartment, great!
Only problem I can see is for people with limited mobility as a few steps to and from the apartment.
We highly recommend staying in Il Patio and will one day return.
