My husband and I took a few weeks and travelled to a few different places throughout Europe last fall. We did ALOT of research for this trip and our time in Cinque Terre surpassed our expectations, including our accomodations! We stayed in the Creme Caramel suite and it was totally worth it! The apartment is well equipped to live in and our only complaint was the noise from the train station below. It has many windows that show off the amazing views and patio doors that open up onto a large balcony that overlook the town and endless ocean. We had breakfast on the patio every morning and then we hiked off to discover Manarola and the other towns. The food (mmm pasta!) was delicious and the people of Cinque Terre were very friendly. All in all, Cinque Terre was the highlight of our trip. Would love to have stayed longer and hope to go back one day!!!

I stayed at the Raggio di Luna and although it was a bit of a splurge for one person it was sooo worth it. The courtyard was very private with a downstairs area surrounded by well-kept plants and the updstairs coutyard area overlooked the water from very high up! The room was so romantic with rose petals on the bad and lovely little lamps around the room. There was even a view of the cliffs and water from the room and bathroom. This would be perfect for a honeymoon or anybody who likes a B&B with a bit of personality and great views.

If you do leave the amazing room you should take the low road (hiking trail) from Manerola to corniglia and then take the high road on the way back. Its a difficult walk but totally worth the effort!

You must watch the moonlight on the water from the top balcony - belissimo!

Thanks Barbara and family - I will be back one day!! Hopefully for my honeymoon ; )

Our Raggia di Luna room was great -- balcony overlooking the water and it was the right size. It was small, especially the bathroom, but it worked fine for what we needed. Barbara is very nice and she knows the importance of little "touches" in the room to make visitors feel welcome. The room had more character than most other B&B's in this area. We couldn't pay with credit card, so be sure you have your Euros on you when you show up! The Cinque Terre hike from Manorola to Corniglia was easy and beautiful -- the one from Corniglia to Vernazza was longer and tougher in parts, but very rewarding in the end. Great experience that we recommend!!

The cold beer in the fridge after a long day travelling and a sweaty hike from the parking lot to the appartment was spot on. Best 'welcome' I ever got in a rental ;-) The appartment is spacy and clean, and the large sundeck terrace offers views of the sea, the hills, the main street downstairs with people coming and going. If you keep the windows open, you can go to sleep with the blended sounds of the sea, the live-music bar downstairs and people having a good time. Friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in the appartment for 1 week with our kids aged 7, 9 and 11 and if was just... perfect. I would recommend this appartment to anyone.

Barbara settled us in and gave us lots of useful information about the area. We stayed in Blu Mare and it exceeded our expectations. Most enjoyable meal was at Billys which is almost next door.

We stayed in the Creme Caramel Suite of Alla Porta Rossa and were very pleased with our accommodations. I can't vouch for the other rooms but Creme Caramel was perfect for a romantic getaway for my husband and I. It has a beautiful view of Manarola and a nice little kitchen as well should you prefer to take advantage of the local markets rather than eat out. The only negative is the walk getting there if you have luggage...but you are more than rewarded with a beautiful view once you arrive. If we're ever back in the Cinque Terre again (and I hope to be!) we will certainly return to Creme Caramel if at all possible.
