This was probably our favorite accommodation in two weeks of Italy. We traveled with 2 adults, one teenager and a baby, and the place was perfect size for us. The apartment was large (2 fairly large rooms plus a living room and small kitchen), especially for Manarola. It was very clean and modern, with dishwasher and clothes washer. The views were spectacular -- from the balcony you had a gorgeous view of the sea and the harbor to the left, plus you could see the town and the terraced hillsides in front and to the right. My wife can be picky and she LOVED this place, as did the whole family. Although we obviously kept an eye on our baby on the balcony (as it was a big drop down), the railings seemed safe for a baby or small child. Also, the Arbaspa staff were helpful in finding a "baby cot" (crib) for us. Manarola itself is very beautiful and was a great home base for 3 days in Cinque Terra (having been to all 5 towns during our trip, Manarola and Vernazza would be my top choices for a stay). We had no issues whatsoever about the walk from the center of town with our backpacks and luggage (it's only a 5-7 minute walk!). Dinner at Trattoria dal Billy is a must, and we also liked the restaurant that has outdoor seating at the raised piazza at the center of town.

The 2 bedroom apartment had great views of the village and harbour. They are also very modern with good facilities when you consider the area they are in. The internet pictures are also true. It was relaxing to watch the world go by with a drink on the balcony .We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and although we had read about the Cinque Terre it was more fascinating than we had imagined. We did take too much luggage and found it a struggle with the steps so we would travel much lighter next time ! Although Manarola was small it was our favourite town. It was also very easy to get around on the train. We would love to return.

Its 81 steps from the harbour up to this apartment but its well worth the climb. The terrace is lovely and the apartment is modern, very well equipped and comfortable. The views from the terrace are spectacular and the location is very convenient for the station, harbour and the walking trails around Manarola. The apartment is in a nice quiet residential area. We booked the apartment through Arbaspaa who were very good and organised the accommodation for us and were very efficient throughout. We had a really great trip.

My husband and I stayed in Mediteranneo 1 for two nights of our honeymoon. It was slightly on the expensive end of what we had intended to pay but was absolutely worth it. Basically its a studio- The interior is shiny new and chic- with a full kitchen, gorgeous bathroom. The gem is the outdoor patio- its huge, with a table and reclining chairs. And it has the most amazing view of the small Manarola harbor. Honestly, I can't imagine anything better in Cinque Terre- if you are there, you might as well be able to see and hear the ocean and sleep with the ocean breeze coming into your bedroom. We ate all our meals on the patio which actually ended up saving money so it was definitely worth paying a little extra!

I stayed here for 3 nights with a friend in May 2010. The apartment was exactly as pictured -- modern design, renovated and a great view. As far as apartments in Italy, Mediterraneo 2 was quite spacious and the kitchen was fully equipped. The apartment is on a quiet street, up the hill overlooking the harbor. Although there were a few minor problems (a bit dusty and low water pressure), the apartment was excellent value and we very much enjoyed our stay in Manarola. I would absolutely rent again.

A few things to note:
- there is wifi in the apartment but it only worked for one day, supposedly due to the weather. You can use the computer in the rental office during business hours but we didn't see any internet cafes, etc. and everything in the town closes early.
- you need to pick up the keys in the office. The directions provided say that the office is located above the tobacco shop but if you aren't familiar with Italy, you might miss the "T" (tabacchi) so look for the gelato shop instead. If you pass the pharmacy, you've gone too far up the hill from the train station.
- the rental company was very professional and provided all the necessary information/services but as this is an apartment rental for independent travelers, you shouldn't expect concierge services (the owner was fine but didn't seem like he was willing to go above and beyond, as per some of the rave reviews of previous posters)
- try to travel light. In order to get the great view of the harbor, you need to carry your luggage up a steep hill, including quite a few narrow, uneven, charming Italian steps.
