“New, modern, spacious, close to the beach”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

This place was much better than we had expected. It is a 5 minute walk from the train station (turn right out of the train station). We had one of the new rooms near the reception- it had a big bedroom and then another room next to it for our boys (2 young boys-they shared a single bed), lovely big shower, and a big outside courtyard with a glimpse of the ocean. Sounds like they offer a range of different rooms with varying niceness-ours was great. In reality we didn't spend much time in the room because the weather was beautiful and we wanted to walk to all the towns but it was a lovely space.

Room Tip: Ask for a new room near reception

Easy to find, close to everything and not too many stairs climb. Our room was among others in what appears to be a unit block which also houses other hotels' rooms, as well as residents.

Bed and bathroom facilities were clean and comfortable, however the shower curtain rod was held up only on the tiles, so we had to be careful or it came crashing down...just one of those quirks while travelling abroad!

We stayed in this hotel while on a tour group and were fortunate to get one of the rooms behind the reception. While it did not have a view of the sea, it had very good fittings, new bathroom and very comfortable bed. The room was second from the end on the right of the hallway. No number on the door, but I think it was #12. The room was quiet and quite large for a studio. The bathroom was down stairs under a balcony. The rear view was the mountain and other hotels.
All hotels in Monterossa have easy access to the beach, shops, train & restaurants, so nothing different here.
All I can say is we experienced a very comfortable stay and as other reviewer estate, Cinque Terre is for being outdoors, so to get what we consider better comforts than some 4 star hotels, we think is pretty good. Maybe ask for the rear rooms behind the reception.

Room Tip: Ask for the rear rooms near or behind reception. Not in the front building.

Imagine waking up in the morning, swinging open the windows and seeing the sun reflecting off the beautiful waters of the Mediterranean. The air warms slowly as the town quietly comes alive. This was a unique hotel. The rooms were freshly painted and the bedding appeared to be new. The innkeepers were beyond helpful and friendly, greeting us each day and answering all of our tourist questions. We were less than a block away from the train, which made touring the five cities so easy. The beach was lovely with open air cafes, and plenty of beach chair rentals. From the location of the hotel we were able to easily walk along the ocean enjoying the sites of the city.
The only problem for some people may be that the bathrooms were very narrow.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the sea.

When we booked this place, it looked OK on the website, and we sort of ignored the bad reviews as we were booking almost last minute and there weren't many other options, so we paid a small fortune for a sea view room. We arrived at the hotel and climbed 10 flights of stairs with our luggage, we entered the room which was a huge disappointment, it was TINY, and smelt like stale cigarettes, there wasn't a balcony, we did have a sea view but it certainly wasn't panoramic like the website said, the walls were so thin that the woman with a cold in the room next to us kept us awake with her coughing all night. the next day as we were leaving the cleaners in the hallway were smoking as they cleaned, even though is was a non smoking floor! gross. Location was however, great.

Room Tip: Avoid this place, if you do stay here, don't get your hopes up, and don't really bother payi...

We didn't come to cinque terre to sit in the room so a clean place to sleep with a warm shower was all we really needed. A bit expensive for the basic nature of the room in an apartment building but worth it for the location to everything. Cleaned everyday and extremely thin walls.

We stayed 3 nights at Affittacamere Anita and was a real delight!
Our room was in a building just in front of the beach, with a amazing view of Cinque Terre. Room was quite big, nice toilette, and with balcony, just amazing!
Staff was very friendly, and breakfast was honest.
Really worth the money.
I can only highly recommend it if you are looking for a nice place to stay with your love one.

Room Tip: Don't arrive after 8pm, we happen to do this and the lady was a bit piss. Also, it is a bit tr...
