I stayed in the room with no aircon but it's very comfortable and relax here. Very clean, wifi, chic and modern style fit to international customers. Bed is comfy for me I had a great night here. Perfect location to go enjoy the beach. Not far from the train station,Monterosso station. Great reception I love it. In the morning I am really really happy with the breakfast. Healthy and delicious. The idea of the hotel is very interesting also doing everything regarding to environment. I love the take care so much very small details. Ofcouse I can use bio-tissue paper without worry to disturb our green environment. I am sure will be back here every summer. Thanks and I enjoy very much here. I visit 2 july 2014. Natacha

The food is excellent for breakfast and the location is great. The deck area is nice and you can only get Wifi next to the office outside (unless you are in the room right above the office). We slept in a room in the attic. It was hot and the sheets are extremely rough (cheap quality, probably polyester). There is no elevator so ask for a lower level room if you have heavier bags. We also stayed in a first floor room a few weeks earlier. It was okay, nothing special and also had rough bedding. For $150 per night, you can probably do better.

Room Tip: Avoid the attic room.

This hotel was perfectly located for exploring the Cinque Terre! It was a 15 minute walk from the train station and less to the boat. Our room was neat and clean and the staff members were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and they were happy to cook eggs to order. Their restaurant recommendations were great and came with a 10% discount! We can't wait to go back!

The hotel is situated on top of a hill, so it is a walk from the water, but a relatively easy one. Modern hotel, friendly receptionists, breakfast is self serve and you have a choice of indoors or outdoors seating. The patio area is lovely with a mountain view. The room itself was very small, but very clean. Bathroom was also very small and very clean. I would stay here again.

We stayed here for four nights. The first night we were in a room with no air conditioning, and asked if we could get a room that so equipped. They did not have a room available for that night, but they brought up a nice fan and we ended up having a most restful night. The next morning they informed us that a room was available (for a slight extra charge which we were happy to pay). They asked us to have our bags packed and while were were out they moved us to the new room.

The owner, Daniel, explained to us that these were newly renovated rooms and were not even listed when we had made our reservations several months before. The room was very nice. Like all European rooms, we are discovering, it was quite small, but very well equipped and super clean and comfortable.

Breakfast each morning included coffee, juices, various breads and cakes, fruit, cold meats and the offer to make omelets or bacon and eggs (which we did each morning because they were absolutely delicious).

Daniel was most accommodating any time we had a question, from help with train schedules to suggestions on places to eat. They have very nice beach towels available for free (you have to give a deposit).

Probably the best thing about this hotel is its location. It is in the old city, near to the free beaches, close to the old world side of town with all its charm and beauty, yet far enough from things to be quiet. There is a nice patio that has both shade and sun depending on what you want, a nice bar that serves cold and hot drinks all day, and free wifi.

It was a bit hard to find the first time as it is down a street (as can only be defined as a street in a place like this, about 5 feet wide and weaving back and forth) but that is a part of its charm as well.

We left wanting to come back again, for sure!

Room Tip: rooms 103, 104 and 203 and 204 are o the ocean side, though there is not really a great view at any...

Stayed in Cinque Terre for two nights on our Italy tour. Monterossa was our favourite of the 5 terraces/villages. This hotel was cheap and beat my expectations. staff were friendly and helpful, the included breakfast was delicious. Rooms were clean. Hotel was close to everything else. Only pitfall was wifi was only available in courtyard area.

The hotel is in a perfect location pretty much in the centre of Monterosso old town (Cinque Terre) and minutes from some of the best restaurants we have eaten at anywhere in Italy. The proprietor was pleasant and staff courteous and helpful. The bar, breakfast and other general amenities were recently renovated, modern, well appointed and very clean. The big, or rather small issue is the size of the rooms. We had a double bed in a room that had barely enough space to move around it, no where to put your luggage except on the small amount of floor area not taken up by the bed and small work table with an equally small TV. The bathroom was possibly the smallest we have experienced in all of our travels and while you don't expect large shower and toilets in Europe, this was so small you couldn't sit 'squarely' on the toilet. The shower closet was exceptionally small as well. There was no shelf space in the bathroom and towels had to be hung up on the floor. There were only 2 power points in the room,1 for the TV and 1 in the bathroom so very inconvenient for 2 people wanting to charge iPads, laptops, cameras and phones. The rooms were well cleaned, the continental breakfast was sufficient and the price affordable.

Room Tip: There is no lift so depending on your age, try and select a floor where you can easily carry your lu...
