Second floor sea view room is spectacular. Views from your patio of all of Cinque Terra, although parking lot a bit in the way. Make sure you get a sea view particularly if you plan to stay more than one night. Not sure if I would stay here without it for more than a night, unless the room price was fantastic. The view and patio really make the place and you can spend a whole afternoon enjoying the patio with a glass of wine or two, some snacks and a good book. Hotel provides free taxi service up and down the hill about every hour, but if you are less patient like we were desiring to get started right away early in the day or to be back in your room after a long day hiking, you "take the hill" and it is quite a trek, particularly up (we did it 4x). The hotel, despite its name, is not luxurious. The rooms, while large, are pretty spartan and the beds were just ok. The bathroom was tiny but had plenty of hot water. There was a minifridge--stocked full --so you had to move their stuff out to get your stuff in. Breakfasts were great--in my view. No eggs or bacon, but not for us. We preferred the hot coffee latte, fresh yogurt, fresh fruit and hot steamy croissants. The staff was a little grouchy (except for the pretty young lady at breakfast with a big smile serving coffee and the two very helpful night staff who sent us up with a hot thermos of coffee and breakfast goodies because we were leaving so early in the morning--excellent service there). Staff was not persnickety about enforcing the rule about not taking away a breakfast item or two to eat later. Be aware you need to get the gate exit code and to walk down if you are leaving before 7 am. Lobby area also needs a bit of a renovation to really be a real bar. We'd stay here again, although I'll bring my own pillow next time.

We stayed at Suisse last night and must admit the view was amazing. The hotel is situated high on the hill and there are plenty of outdoor lounges to relax and enjoy the view. Parking is available on site if you are driving. There is a free taxi service to and from the village and it picked up every hour which was certainly adequate but I am sure that it would operate more regularly during the summer. The room was clean and comfortable with big soft bath towels, which I enjoyed but it was certainly not luxurious. The reception staff were pleasant and stored our bag for the day after we checked out so that we could continue to explore the town and come back to pick it up before our train departed. Breakfast was ample but the restaurant staff were certainly not friendly and were quite abrupt when speaking to guests. This was a shame.

We stayed in Monterosso in May.we were lucky to have great wheather conditions and we loved our hotel.our room had a balcony with the best views of the Monterosso sea.the room and the bath room was big enough.Only negative is the shampoo confections were scarse and difficult to use.no bath foam although there is the jackuzy tub..parking in front of the hotel is very confortable considering that cars in Cinqueterre is a problem.although the hotel is on a steep hill with the shuttle (free for the hotel) every hour from and to the town center makes life easy.

Room Tip: Definetely room wiyh a view.

Our 2nd floor front room of the Suisse Hotel Bellevue had wonderful views of the Cinque Terre. The hotel is a pleasant place to stay with a helpful staff and an adequate breakfast. A sign is posted on the room fridge saying you are not allowed to use it for personal things, so know that whatever you store there needs to be removed by when you leave the room each day.
Something that greatly surprised us was the 28 Euro charge for maybe 15 tea bags. We were there during a chilly rainy spell and enjoyed returning to the hotel and having hot tea. The first time we asked for a pot of hot water (they had not yet handed us the tea bags), we also asked if it was complimentary and were told yes. They then offered us tea bags which we accepted but for which they mentioned no charge. We assumed that, as at other hotels, the bags were complimentary as well. Little did we know EACH tea bag was like gold. It's not like they made it or even delivered it. They coldly refused to remove the charge when we were checking out. So, be warned.

Room Tip: Call and speak directly to the desk when booking your room. In our opinion, the best rooms are on t...

Hands down the most beautiful hotel in the village. Even the view from the bathroom was amazing! It's worth staying here just for the sunset.

Our room was lovely and comfortable. The croissants at the continental breakfast were better than any of us had ever tasted.

It's a MUST STAY.

We stayed at the Suisse Hotel Bellevue on 20th April 2014. I was a little worried as the hotel had some negative reviews. I should not have worried, the hotel is perfect, it has stunning views, a great breakfast, a beautiful room (Better than 3*) , the room looked new. The staff were friendly and helpful, the taxi to and from the town is wonderful (Free). I will return to this hotel.

We arrived by train, turn right when you exit the train station and the Taxi is a short distance away. We eat at a nice restaurant "La Barcaccia' good value for money.

Room Tip: We had a side view with a balcony (Lovely room)

We were a family of five and we really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The service was friendly and very helpful. The rooms were big, clean and modern. The bathrooms had been recently renovated and were very well equipped. The continental breakfast was very nice and plentiful with some of the best warm croissants we had ever had. We particularly enjoyed parking our car on the premises and not having to drive during our stay as they had a shuttle service that brought us right into the village. The grounds were beautifully maintained with lots of lounge chairs and shaded areas to sit and gaze out at the spectacular view of the sea and the cliffs. I would highly recommend this hotel to couples or families.
