We stayed here for 4 nights on our honeymoon recently (July/Aug) an it wasn't to bad at all. Very close to shops and beach and eatery's. Not located too far from the train station. but we were glad we had suitcases with wheels due to all the pushing. Rooms very very large and ours had a very nice balcony overlooking the beach and coastline. Room was very clean ans bathroom was more than adequate.
Only complaint was that there was no fridge inside the room to keep drinks cool, and boy did we need it as the temp out side was extremely hoy in mid summer. We had to ask for ice from the bar and collect it ourselves but breakfast was delicious. Great selection and nice dining room.
We went on a few day trips via boat and train......and had an absolute ball.!!! Lovely swimming and coastline, great food, wine and wineries which were well worth the walk to.
Overall a great little place and probably one of our favourite location for the entire honeymoon..

A party of five of us stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is an easy walk from the station, about 10 minutes but there is quite a slope up the driveway to the entrance, which can be tricky if you have alot of luggage. Once there, you are in a lovely peaceful setting, very well maintained gardens and the advantage of a pool and only 2 minutes from the beach.

My room was a single which was spacious and very comfortable, with a well equipped bathroom and good shower. The AC was excellent, only thing missing was a mini fridge, which would have been useful. I had a lovely balcony with table and chair overlooking the gardens and pool.

The first evening we had dinner at the hotel, which you have to book by late afternoon. The menu changes everyday, this includes a salad buffet which is excellent and 1st/2nd courses plus dessert, it was all very good and very reasonable.

The breakfast room was very pleasant, you could sit inside or out and there was a wide variety of breads/pastries, fuit/yogurt, cereals, hardboiled eggs/meats etc.

There was quite a bit of information at reception for the guests, the boat and train timetables were very useful and the staff very helpful.

The Old Town is about 15 minutes away and makes a nice walk during the evening where there is plenty going on.

Would highly recommend this hotel for visiting the Cinque terre and would definitely return.

The hotel is overall good because of its friendly service, quiet location and good breakfast. We had booked a triple room for 212 euro/night but it was a double room with a third bed so the room was very small. I would expect a bigger room (a real triple room) for that price but the cinque terre is an overall expensive area. The room was very good (safe, balcony, very good wifi, ...) but a minibar would be very welcome. The location is very good (close to the train station-5 min walk). It's about a 15 minute walk to Monterosso town center. The parking is an advantage in Monterosso but it's very steep to get from the parking to the hotel. I wouldn't go there for a longer holiday but for a few days to visit the cinque terre it's an excellent choice.

I want to start off by saying that not only is Monterosso the best of the five towns to stay in, but also look no further than Hotel Villa Adriana! We had a wonderful stay here! It's located about an 8-10 minute walk from the train station, and about a 15 minute walk from the old town. I don't understand why some people complain about how far it is, because almost the entire time you're walking it's along the beautiful coast, and quite frankly it's nice to walk off all of the food you indulge in while there! Anyways, the location is ideal in that it's located just off the main road which makes it a bit quieter. This was definitely appreciated as Monterosso was quite busy!

The hotel itself was very nice, and more modern than I was expecting it to be! We were given a wheelchair accessible room (I guess nobody required it while we were there), so it was quite large. The room was clean and the air conditioning and wifi worked very well. Perhaps the biggest selling point while staying there in the middle of the summer was that they had a pool. I believe it's one of the only hotels in Monterosso that has a pool, and we used it several times over the 3 nights that we were staying there. It was much appreciated after our long hike and touring around the other towns.

The staff were also very helpful. Julia helped us set up in our rooms when we first arrived, and then helped us in preparing for our hike to Vernazza and also with places to eat. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic! There was a wonderful selection and a beautiful terrace that we sat on overlooking the grounds.

Overall I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Monterosso and wouldn't think twice about staying there again if I ever had the chance to go back.

We stayed at Hotel Villa Adriana on a Thursday and Friday night in the middle of summer - and had a wonderful time. It is a very quiet hotel, just a few minutes walk from the beach and center of Monterosso. Our room was very clean with a nice sized patio that we enjoyed views of the ocean. Staff was very nice and helpful in planning our hiking - they let us know which trails were open and what to expect.
We drove into Monterosso and the hotel provides parking on site that is gated - on a first come basis. We never had a problem finding parking.
Overall, we would highly recommend staying here - well above a 3-star rating in my opinion.
Cinque Terre is a beautiful area!!
