Just thinking about our dinner at this lovely restaurant by the train station makes me smile. We were thrilled by the quality of food served to our party of six and the authentic, quaint Italian setting made for a relaxing dinner. The service was prompt and more responsive than what we had received the previous evening at a more expensive restaurant by the harbor. Even though our menu was in English, our waiter was wonderful and helped us determine our menu selection by bringing out a piece of squid as a visual. Two people in our party ordered this dinner per his recommendation and it was prepared to perfection!! I was amazed it was not chewy (melted in my mouth) and tasted similar to lobster. I had pasta with mussels, clams, and spaghetti…..it was my best meal of our trip! My husband and daughter had spaghetti with a tomato sauce; they still rave about their dinner. In addition, we ordered the five place appetizer which provided a small sampling of five different appetizers brought to our table one at a time. I wish we had ordered two for our group of six, as they were all delicious!! The next time we go to Riomaggiore we will make this our top destination for a lovely dinner.

We ate at almost every restauant in the village from trattoria to expensisive high rated ristorante. This was the best local homemade dish on our entire trip. Dishes were authentic , excellent and fare in price. House white was excellent and a steal at 12 euro a liter ! Veal limone and sage ravioli are highly recommended. Make sure that you make some time for this small, quiet place. It may just be the best place you visit like us.

We ate here based on the reviews on trip advisor last night. Had seen the restaurant when getting on and off the train and would have never thought to eat here due to its location but definitely glad we did. We both had the ravioli with butter and sage which we were told is a speciality of the area, and they 100 percent did it justice. It was so delicious. Everything is very reasonably priced for two of us having pasta, sharing a dessert, bottle of wine and beer it came to 45 euro which is not bad at all. The woman who served us speaks very little English so that made the night a wee bit more interesting trying to translate each other but she was very friendly and gave us time to have a break between courses which is always good. Really enjoyed our meal and would be back again if we had the time.

After dining in another restaurant the night before and being disappointed, we weren't really expecting much better when we decided to try this place. Boy, were we wrong. It was so good and such a good value that we returned the next night. I won't repeat what others have said except to say that this place really stands out over the other restaurants in town. The second night we went, we weren't given menus since it was known that we had been there the previous night. Suggestions were made and we weren't disappointed. I must say also that the local wine was very good too and reasonably priced. Another plus is that there is free wifi. I am sure some people pass on this restaurant because its located right across from the train station and not easily seen. That is unfortunate because this place is such a gem!

We wanted a simple but wholesome meal and after reading trip advisor decided to try here.

The food was fantastic with the veal melting in the mouth.

My husband had the grilled steak and pepper sauce which he enjoyed but be prepared for very rare meat but delicious.

We also had the salad and vegetable side dishes which were better than most Italian restaurants we have visited. Yum.

The lady who served us was friendly and the the food came out in good time.
