We actually used Trip advisor to select this restaurant. Our train pass was still valid so we jumped on the train in La Spezia for one last trip back to Riomaggiore. When you exit the train station do not go too the right like everyone else into the main town, instead look sharp left and tucked around the side of the very first building is this hidden gem. It was there about 50 ft from us this whole time! We entered at 700 pm (with no reservation) and found one other couple. By the time we left 2 hours later it was full. Our server 'Lelia (maybe as owner too) and one other woman cooking. That is it. The results were simply out of this world. Friendly service ( with pretty good English), decent house wine, and one of our best meals in Italy. Both couples started with mixed salads. Bread was provided as usual and our meal was starting off so delicious with these simple items. Then 'Leila brought out a delicious bowl of deep fried pasta. It turns out in the morning she runs a cooking class and this is what they do with the student's broken pieces of pasta. For our mains we had 3 pasta dishes (2 with seafood) and one grilled seafood dish. Everything was again exceptional. The seafood ranged from octopus, clams, oysters, scampi, shrimp etc. We all left stuffed, and happy. A highlight meal of our trip.
