We stayed here for 2 nights in January 2013.

Great lcoation just 100m from the Riomaggiore station (but no train noise) in a very stylishly decorated and roomy appartment (very clean room, comfortable beds, great coffee machine!!!). Four of us stayed here (2 adults and 2 teenage children) and the room was great - we all shared the one room, which is not really ideal, but it was big enough for the 4 of us, and the idea with Cinque Terra is that you are not really meant to be spending your time indoors anyway. Its up about two flights of stairs, and the lift was nto working, so that might be an issue for some people, but had no bearing on our experience there.

The position really was excellent - you are about 500m from the central part of Riommaggiore, which means you ae close enough to the restaurants, but not close enough to hear any noise from the tourists.

It was not overly busy in January so I do not know what it woudl be like in the busy summer tourist season.

Overall, the room was great, the position was excellent, and Gianni was very heplful. Highly recommend this.

Wonderful place to stay. Clean, Comfortable, Convenient. 5 nights, two couples. Hosts Gianni and Lida are lovely and have made this a delightful place to stay. Rooms are good size and we also made good use of the laundry lines outside the window. Very close to the station and visitor info that made it so easy when arriving / departing with luggage as well as to hop on a train to explore the Cinque Terre. Simple but plentiful items for breakfast along with a fantastic coffee maker and a small refrigerator. Bed was very comfortable and while the bathroom was small (as are most in this part of the world), the water pressure made for a great shower. We appreciated how quiet it was in the evening and the morning (vs staying in the business side of town where travelers are awakened early by street noise). Gianni keeps a translator App on his phone and is eager to help guests with any information to make for a pleasant stay. We highly recommend this place and hope to be able to return.

Room Tip: One room has a small patio, one room has a slightly larger sitting area but all rooms very comfortab...

We stayed here 3 nights early October and it was great! The room was clean and modern. Breakfast hamper was refilled each day and juice in the fridge. Also a coffee machine in the room. Sitting out on the balcony having breakfast is really good! A big plus is its close to the station ( but little train noise) ...there is no lugging your bags up endless flights of street steps as advised by a previous reviewer. There are a couple of fights of stairs inside the building to climb. Rooms are located on the 'quiet side' of Rio where the locals live... so no night time restaurant or tourist noise. Definitely recommend this place!!!

We stayed at Affitacamere Ilda for a week. B&B Ilda is situated near the little station of Riomaggiore which is very handy since most of the traveling in Le Cinque Terre is done by train. It's also very close to the main street and harbor where a couple of great restaurants are situated.
Ilda & Gianni, the owners, are just lovely, friendly people with wonderful tips for walks and excursions. Our room (room 3) was very spacious and nicely decorated. There was a little refrigerator present in the room which is very practical for the hot summer days. Ilda & Gianni cleaned the rooms every single morning and they subsequently replaced the breakfast basket for the next day. Breakfast was very Italian (sweet croissants, biscuits,...) and thus simple, but it was very nice to have the breakfast included in the price. Affitacamere Ilda is without a doubt value for money. I would recommend this B&B to everyone!

On our honeymood trip we spent 4 nights in Riomaggiore and I am happy that I found this place here at tripadvisor! We had a beautiful room, nicely decoarted and very clean with our own patio - which we used a lot! Gianni and Ilda are very kind and Gianni picked us up to find parking at a reasonable price (you have to reserve!) and help with our luggage. The location is just fine, close to the train station and 5 minutes walk to the "center" of Riomaggiore. Breakfast you do on your own, with wonderful and strong coffee, juice, jam, butter and packed croissants. This is the only thing, I could complain about - I did not like these packed, way to sweet croissants (my husband did though) and so I bought some bread and cheese in the shop. Else everything was just PERFECT!!!

Room Tip: The room with the patio seems to bes smaller - but the patio is wonderful!

ilda rooms isn't very popular on trip advisor when i booked the room but its gaining reviews now and with good reason.

the price is reasonable for riomaggiore standards as i got the room for 75 euros. My room was on the small side compared to the rooms posted by other trip advisor members but at least i had my own area outdoors which i was able to use on a sunny afternoon.

The location is perfect being so close to the train station so i do not worry that i will miss my intended train schedule. Breakfast is standard fare of packaged croissants, milk, orange juice, bread and butter. I really did appreciate the bottled water they put in the fridge and the thoughtfulness of putting extra pillows on the bed and the tv!

the room did not have air-conditioning which wasn't a problem for us as it was the first week of june. Being close to the train station , you can hear some noise but it is not enough to disturb you.

one negative thing that caught my attention was the fan. we didn't use it but i wouldn't have used it even if it was hot outside because it was quite dirty and there were small "fur balls"/molds in it. I'm sure if i told Gianni, he would've done something about it.

overall, i would recommend this place. It delivers=)

Room Tip: choose the room 1 if you are going during summer season.

We booked two of the rooms here for a family of six. First of all I'd like to say that I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Cinque Terra. The manager/owner was very friendly, however, his English was very minimal. We did manage to communicate just fine through broken words and hand signals though!

I can't think of a better location than this place. Minutes from the train station and the sea.

The only pseudo downside was the lack of internet. Not having that in today's world is a minus to me, however, I'm sure for some it's a plus. There was public WiFi down the street for 5euros/day but it was flaky at best. For the most part you will be waiting until you leave to upload those beautiful photos.

They did their best to accommodate us and parking our car. It was a bit of squeeze, but Cinque Terra was not built for SUVs. You always have the option of parking in La Spezia and taking the train in too.

If you want to experience this beautiful area, I would recommend this place.
