We stay in cinqueterre the last week of september, we found this place in riomaggiore in interenet, and we were surprise when the owner took us to our rooms. Was magic, terrace seaview,. The room was nice very clean . well decorated and in a fantastic position, about six minutes on foot ftom the centre. J think was the best place in town. so quite so clean so magic! be back thank yuo

First of all.. the reception is far away from the room, so be prepared to walk! When we finally got there, we were really disappointed. The room was smelly (a lot of air refresheners trying to cover the smell of mould), dark and had a really low ceiling. It was really creepy with dolls everywhere and everything in the room was pink, even the toilet seat!
We didn't sleep good at all because of the bad smell, and when we left all of our clothes were humid..

The only thing that was good with this room was the view.

So, if the owner asks you if you would like a room with a view or a room close to the citycenter, choose the room in the citycenter!

The pouring rain didn't help my mood, but when we checked into the hotel, it was just an office on the main street which is where I thought the room was. Our room was a 10-15 minute walk up hill, dragging our luggage. The owner doesn't like to be questioned about the misrepresentation of the location; and he not so politely told us to go find another room. We ended up staying which in the end turned out to be a pretty good decision. The room was pretty clean and quiet, but the view of the water was by far the best part of the room. Overall, if you don't mind the hike, the room was a pretty nice place to stay. Just don't upset the owner. By the way, I agree with some of the other comments: the dolls and stuffed animals are a little weird. Lots of little nick nacks everywhere.

Do you like the colour pink? Creepy dolls? The smell of mould? Lots of stairs? Very low ceilings? If you answered "Yes!" to any of these questions, then this is the place for you!
Our first impression of our "house" (which actually more closely resembled a cubby house) was that it looked like it had been decorated by a six year old girl with very poor eyesight. Once we got over being more than a little creeped out by the excessive amount of pink, lace and dolls, however, we also noticed that it smelled like a lot like mould and a little like a dead animal. One of the beds was in the kitchen, which you may see as a plus if you like being within arms reach of the fridge during the night. The double bed was right next to the bathroom; the toilet door had to be opened with the utmost care so as to not knock the head off the person lying on the side closest to the bathroom. The bathroom itself wasn't bad - the water pressure was decent at least. and we learned to ignore the smell of damp and the feeling that we were being watched by the dolls lurking behind the spare toilet paper.

When we arrived our room hadn't been cleaned (~3pm).

Host was not warm and welcoming but wasn't rude either.

Room was a steep 10min walk from the main office.

Views were great and the shared bathroom was clean enough.
